Dairy's that need the PTO horsepower for mowers, balers, and the such, but don't want the added fuel consumption and don't want to maintain the MFWD. 2WD also has a tighter turning radius. That could be a couple reasons. They're pretty rare over here but you see some larger 2WD's every now and then.
