Muzzleloader is fun! 3 years ago I shot a nice 8 point buck chasing two does. A very memorable hunt on opening day here in Virginia!

Had exact same mishap to me 2 years ago!! Never realized it was the wrong deer until I grabbed his head. Talk about majorly disappointed!! 2 weeks later I was able to seal the deal on a 4 year quest for the right deer! Lol

And at the same time say they scout intensively and pay attention to if the deer have wet feet & even make sure their trucks headlights are not shining toward the deer when they leave. Amazing how intelligent these guys are!!! Surely those little details are why they kill deer and not the giant corn pile!
