Two Locos On The Overland! - Rare Rail Action With The 136 Year-Old Overland

Well hello everybody and welcome back to another video. Today's video features a whole load of trains at almost always the same location, just because. All of the trains in this video are in fact the Overland, the once beautiful train thats now just a rake of old coaches pulled by some random freight locomotives. It turned 136 a little while ago so why not make a video on it. ALSO I HIT 300 SUBS YAY. Thanks guys so much. My dream was to hit 299 and we overshot. This is excellent and would really like you to prefix this video with the NR in the colours you designed specifically for this train. I would like others to see it so they can compare it with what they see here. I remember riding this train when it was an overnight service and a real adventure, especially as I was only very young at the time. I would like this train to revert to Government Ownership as it was originally, which would then give many people the opportunity to ride it because it would be affordable to most. Journey Beyond is clearly not interested in this train, which is evident by its slow deterioration. I do think it is better as a daylight service which gives the passengers the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Victoria and South Australia.

I’ll see what I can do to try and compose the livery onto one of my photos. Someone suggested the idea of two overland services, one a day service and one a sleeper. The sleeper would be good for going to bed in Melbourne and waking up in Adelaide and the day service for the people who like to watch the landscape go past which I think is quite a nice idea.

I saw and filmed the 29th December train arriving into Melbourne, it was good to see a relatively long train. I'm hoping to take the opportunity to ride this train later this year, looks like a nice journey.

that funny i did see 3 of the overlands that u filmed but 1 on differnt date 9322 one NR114 on dec 29th 85 on nov 6th and 9322 on the overland NR85 and 114 last year and 9322 only back in jan on the 12th
