Best of luck to you getting this thing running. I have heard tales from older loggers on how McCulloch chainsaws were notoriously hard starting. So hard that there is at least one out in a local forest having been thrown down a ridge by its owner after refusing to start for over 2 hours.

Hi Mr rescue. I can see the unusual complexity of this rescue. The carburetor and exhaust needed some fabrication as well as recalling the fiddlies, every single one of them. I'm guessing this was more challenging than some of the larger modular restos you've done? I am pleased to observe your patient and methodical work. ( although you may simply be editing out the tantrums, but somehow I.doubt this is the case.) Your certainly one of my favourites among the restoration community, for that reason, but also because you take on some tough ones and the end results are particularly pristine. A purist craftsman at work, is a joy to watch. It allows me to note all the more, our drop in standards in both craftsmanship and how poor design appears to have taken over. The redundancy in present day tools etc, renders them irreparable often. The older stuff leaves you with a fighting chance at least. 🙌👍👍👍👍😊🚲
