As both a fan of the high quality craftmanship (and high quality work in general) and a web developer I absolutely despise Squarespace and what they're doing to the market I'm in, because Squarespace is not much better than the work you'd get from hiring some web development firm from India. But I accept it because I love Scott. Really wish he'd find sponsors that are less destructive, though.

I am pleased to find all the kzbin.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 plans and designs for the three sheds included in Ryan's shed plans And how very easy they all are to set up following the detailed instructions on the manual and DVDs. I first saw him as a fanboy. Now the thing I love about Gaston is his love of the craft. The older we get in our trades the longer we think about the best way to do the new thing or even a basic thing. Gaston is like that... plus he could sell barnacles to a boat.

If you're editing in DaVinci Resolve, consider buying a speed editor (the little keyboard with a wheel). They're pretty cheap and make rough cutting a ton of footage very fast. Also, the color managed workflow in Resolve would get your clips most of the way to the finished look the moment you import them, especially with multiple cameras.

The router bit size is the most important part of the built of a MFT top. I got a 20mm bit ground down to 19.85 which gives 20mm holes, due to wobble etc. Dogs all vary by fractions of a mm too cross brand. Some are hard to remove others easy Looks good though Scott

I love how excited Gaston gets about tools, it makes me and my obsession feel normal! The appreciation a well thought out and well made tool deserves is a great thing to see, it's easy to forget some of these jigs and rail squares etc started as someone's passion for their craft. The hikoki router seems to get universally good reviews from actual day to day users, it's great to see as it's corded predecessor was a massively underrated tool. Can't wait to see what all those systainers were about! And even more excited to see what you guys do with the house! I'm getting seriously envious of NZ and your timber framed houses, as a builder with a joinery background in the UK I despise having to deal with brickwork so much! Great content as always Scott and Jess

Not an observation on this episode but one on the journey you and Jess have undertaken to provide all your viewers with a unique perspective on a New Zealand carpenter's life. I was looking at the orange jig from the UK when I was at the Carbatec shop. Another customer told me he got his top done by a CNC workshop. I went round and they cut a sheet of ply in two and made me two tops 1200x 1200. So I have a spare for when the first one is cut up. Cheaper than a jig you dont use very often and deadly accurate.
