Hello Doctor, thank you for the video. As you mentiond there is no blood supply in this area, thus no chance of self healing. Does it mean only operation or knee replacement are the options left? @@drdozellodc Thank you for your reply. I would use these supplements. I used to play field hockey due to repetitive movement, articular cartilage of my right knee got effected. But now I have been strengthening side muscles of my knee and it helped a lot. Thank you

The articular disc and articular cartilage are note the same thing. Here is a brief description of the articular disc. The articular disk is a thin, oval plate of fibrocartilage present in several joints. It separates synovial cavities to allow for separate movements to occur in each space. The synovial membrane lining the joint capsule produces the synovial fluid that fills these cavities. An articular disk permits a more even distribution of forces between the articulating surfaces of bones, increases the stability of the joint, and aids in directing the flow of synovial fluid to areas of the articular cartilage that experience the most friction. Located in the following joints: Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), wrist and sternoclavicular joint (SC Jt).
