It has a nice warm tone to it. Even in the "modern drive" mode. Very musical and useful. I'm looking for a new bass preamp and (IMO) this sounds really good. Great vid Eric !

I own a Two Notes 'Le Bass' and was wondering if it would be worth looking at the ReVolt as an upgrade from that. It clearly isn't since the Le Bass seems to me to be a much more versatile and better sounding pre. You just saved me some bucks Erik, thank you.

I just ordered a used Le Bass and Darkglass B3K(into the effects return) to make what I expected the Revolt to be. Clean, Dirt, and Modern drive channels that can be blended together.

Sadly no - it only has the analog cabsim on it, just like the LeBass had!

@@erikarko The built-in cabsim is analog, but according to the product description it comes with additional software for cabsim, namely "Torpedo Wall of Sound plug-in" with 10 IRs.

@@erikarko That preamp has a lot of mids or it is me ? Like on the 2 distortion it start to sound like duckglass when the mids at are 1/4 or less no ? :/ Really cool all in one to me. I just though the ampeg can become more gnarly than that, but it is meant to work only as a clean I think

5:40: The tube starts glowing when the button "Clean" is pressed, so it seems not to be powered before; but if the tube is not powered before that, shouldn't it take a minute or so to "heat up" till it actual delivers sound?

It’s probably heated up when the unit is powered up (as all the three settings use the tube) - the different colours just show what mode you’re in :)

The ReVolt is more “vintage”, if you will (although it can cover ground in the more modern tone department, so to speak) whereas the Infinity is more “modern” (although it can sound more “old school”, if you want) :)

Can the clean channel be on with either of the other two channels on for a bi-amp or tri-amp tone? It looks like you demoed each channel individually or at least only one light was on at a time for the channels.

Well the TONES answered the main questions I had about this unit !!!! Its a BIG NO for me ..especially when you said NO channel mixing !!! I mean what was Two Notes thinking ??? NO BLEND between the 3 different channels...BOOOOOOOOO ...My new Zoom B6 has BEAUTIFUL tones and much more versatile.... So I will be staying with my Zoom and my KILLER Tech 21 DUG!!!!! Ty Erik!!!

No compressor though? And I agree with other comments, the bass in the mix is way too low to hear the actual bass! And the distorted bass sounds are awful IMO. I'll stick to my Tech 21 flyrig thanks...

Regarding the lack of compressor, my guess is that they wanted to stay with the formula for the LeBass. And if your FlyRig makes you happy, then great!! 💪🏼👍
