You know, you all should offer “experiences” to be able play for 15-30 mins in the “video room” along to danish Pete “loops” for “personal videos” with the amps and pedals you have there....I’d pay good money for that... ..to be able to play with Pete or the captain or Rabea..priceless! Most of us amateur home guitarists want to 1-play some awesome gear to see if it’s worthy buying and 2- play and feel like we might one day might be famous on youtube 3- play with other musicians we respect !

Half the reason I'm here everyday is these intros. Damn good. Every time. Well done gents. It does make me dream of moving when I see 90 degree's being referred to as sweltering. We peaked at 109 last week and it was 95 yesterday. And I lve in the northern US. Next move will be somewhere more mild and balanced in their weather. My guitars will thank me for it too. Hahahaha

Great video guys. I think it all has its place, just another excuse to get more gear. Two Notes make some great gear, so easy to use.
@anthonysilva5312 Жыл бұрын
Bought one. It’s quite nice….especially for my neighbours at 2:00 in the morning! You can truly get a plenitude of tones which are very realistic. I own 5 cabs and 3 combos and 4 heads…and it sounds very good. One catch, it doesn’t quite capture the glassy clarity of say your plexi when you ride the guitar volume. You’ll need a few IR’s for that. Say clean, low gain, crunch and high gain. It sounds great on my headphones and great through my monitors. (And I haven’t even mentioned the midi capabilities) Finally, if Two-Notes wants to send me an 8ohm version, I’ll gladly accept it! PS- this outro Clip is not representative of the great tones that are possible !
@WickedJester772 жыл бұрын
You're completely right with the whole, it doesn't provide the player with the same physical experience as a cabinet. No question. This thing though, in my opinion, isn't made to do that. It's a tool for a situation. I play in Nashville pretty often and Nashville HATES guitar cabinets. Lol. Hates them. So this little box is the "make the sound guy happy" box. Freakin nails it.

I have one of these. It’s great. One thing I stupidly didn’t realise is that 100w amp heads are actually really loud when cranked. The actual input transformers and tubes make a bit of sound (they’re not microphonic). I have my studio monitors lovely and whisper quiet for late night recording, but the sound coming out of the head has my wife knocking on the door. I recommend the Hairband Cab Simulation from the Two Notes Store. A nice little cab without the Green Backs or V30s.

In terms of the rabbit hole of different sounds, I've got a Captor X and here's the issue: changing presets (room, cab model, mike, etc.) on this thing affects the tone and sound an order of magnitude more than what amp your are using, to the point where the amp's tone easily gets lost/masked by the rest of the tone shaping tools and it almost doesn't matter which amp you are using.

@Smartskaft24 жыл бұрын
Using the 8 Ohm version with a 16 Ohm speaker is pretty safe, though the perceived EQ curve will of course change. As always, match as good as possible. But at least don't go into a (single) lower resistive load from your amp's rating. Going higher (e.g. 8 Ohm out from amp into a 16 Ohm speaker) is safe, but you'll loose some high frequencies

5w amp can be made quieter by having a smaller speaker connected to it. I have a 5f1 home made clone in a small box with a 6 inch speaker. It still gets loud when you drive it, but if you live in a house it is ok. When I have to be really quiet i turn it to 2 or 3 and use a drive pedal. And when I want to be loud (full sounding) in connect it to 1x12 cab. Having a valve amp I wanted as little sound processing as possible.

Hi guys.. maybe one day you would like to test a Torpedo Live as well? If you don't need attenuator, you want to use something for studio or live (usning no cab, small clubs for ex.), I think Torpedo Live is a valid alternative? Of course that doesn't have the Bluetooth connectivity option, it's bigger (it's a rackable unit).. but then you have the LCD where you can do quick changes if needed. So, I couldn't tell. About missing volume Love volume - for a short time - no beating it. But I miss my hearing more. Crazy volume is just impractical. If you listen to great music but a lower volumes, you hear that great tone at a practical level. Is it the same as blasting it loud? No but let’s be practical. If you just consider practicing! It takes hours and hours to get a feeling for using tone. I simply couldn’t stand in front of that volume for 5 hours a day any longer. My playing suffered as I practiced at a different tone that I performed with. This type of technology is freedom.

But you surely have AC. It's not very common in the UK and much of Europe. Heck, I live in Western NY and most homes built here until the '90s don't have AC because it never used to get that hot here. But now it does. And the US south panics and flails when it drops below freezing or you get even a dusting of snow (because you lack infrastructure to deal with it) whereas in WNY anything less than 6" of snow in a day is just a mild annoyance. Regional weather differences: they exist!
