You mention your next race meeting is at Lydd, not to piss on your fireworks but James (owner of Lydd) banned any kind of go pro on your kart/helmet and when I had my go pro mounted like you do, I got a right bollocking. Hopefully there will be no issues because I love these karting videos but just a forewarning. Looking forward to your next video. All the best JB

Strong driving, Mr. Brown! That cooperative driving was awesome, you guys reeled in the pack at a good clip. Ever the strategist... I've had a crisis every time I've seen you start near the front in one of the racing games, only to move off-line and slow right down to the back. "What is he doing? How did he break a car made of pixels?!" followed by, "Oh look, everybody else murdered each other at turn 1." P.S. I second Adon1sV's suggestion of placing an R 4 M emblem on the back of your helm. Equivocate your dominance and the like ;D

In karting it does help a lot because there’s so little surface area anyway and the karts are so light, dipping your head down underneath the bodywork has quite a big effect on the drag of you and the kart

In Formula 1 it isn't so much the way that they defend as much as it's the way the turbulent "dirty air" behind each car reduces the effectiveness of the aero of the cars behind them.

These are cool. In America we have scca autocross races where you just take ur daily driver and hit some autocross cones. Usually costs less than $100. Idk if you have anything like that where you are but ud probably enjoy that. I'd at least enjoy watching you

Do you tend to brake super hard for a split second after slowing down from a straight to pop the rear tyres loose to slide into the corner? It seems as if youre slowing down first then violently twisting the wheel to make the kart slide/lift the inner wheel up. Is it necessary on every course or every type of kart though, I heard (and felt) the kart slows down too much when you slide and it has a hard time picking speed back up :) Thanks!

Yes, they've always been good for me. They are fairly light and so they can get small holes quite easily but I normally just buy a new pair every year and that's fine.

Matthew Hill yes. I believe there are two classes. 78kg and 90kg and you will have to add lead so everyone’s the same weight.

@@johnreynolds2055 for the quali he explained there are 3 categories(light/mid/heavy) and on the numberplate you can tell by colour which categories which person drives in. So i assume those categories dont dissapear in the final round. But it could be the case

Great video. What do you use to strengthen your fingers? I went in my Rotax Max kart for the first time a few weeks ago and my hands were killing after every session. Any tips or techniques to reduce hand strain?

Something I've been doing in the gym is to simply 'hang' for 30 seconds, rest for 30 then do it again. So if you have some monkey bars or even one of those door trainers, use those to hold on to and improve your hand grip and forearm strength.
