Update, this thing is sturdy, had my older 17 year old son on it, around 140lbs, and no issues. Some side to side movement is expected, however it's minimal and not an issue. The generic rack was basically the same, some minor differences where you adjust the position of the rack, has no bearing on any of the mounts.

Thanks for the update. Did your brother in law test the generic rack with 140lbs? I understand it’s the same as brand name.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! ❤🎉 This was the video I was looking for because nobody has done a backseat installation video on a 14/16 inch EBike, only 20+ inch ebikes. You sir are a blessing! Your video was very detailed and helpful. I subbed

Also, mine didn’t come with the fender, I saw you make another video where you showed this rack on the back of the bike, and I was hoping you were going to make one showing how to install it! I was even going to ask you to make one but hadn’t gotten around to it yet! Thank you so much for making this video showing how to install it! Greatly appreciate your help! Keep making the fantastic videos

Very cool upgrades man! You did a great job! I bought one of these rats myself for the back of my Jetson now I know how to put it on! But no doubt I will have to cut some off the end where the reflector is as well! Thank God for handy dudes like you guys showing us how to do this! Keep on making a great videos, and I love your sense of humor! I have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Does the urider toddler seat work with the Haze ebike?

Once I have my new rack installed like this, it will be the support a nice large battery hopefully around 20 amp hours! LOL!

Have to be careful with that rear one. The pivot point on the rear is the rear axle. Anything sticking out beyond that will cause the bicycle to do a wheelie when weight is applied. Something to be aware of. Will still work, but mounting and dismounting onto the bike should be dad gets on first, then the kids, preferably in front if only one child. It's only risky if you don't know what you're doing. 👍

noted, gone about 10-15 miles with the rig, even with my 17 year old son. The thing is that it goes real slow when fully loaded because of the weight

Thank for the video and explanation. I plan on buying the rear seat set up you have. I was wondering how many watts your E bike is? I plan to use the rear seat with my 11 year old.

Thanks for posting! I found the Urider version 2 had too much gap on the Jetson frame between the Urider front support so it wiggled side to side. (Where the feet are) It seemed quite dangerous and the bolts where the set goes into the horizontal frame stripped so I returned it. Love the foam cap idea! The end of the video reminds me of a Vietnamese scooter. Two thumbs up from this fellow Asian. Haha

thanks for watching, the urider was a gamble, until I found the exact configuration, didn’t want to spend 78 for an OEM seat, I studied the pictures closely, and even then, I got it wrong, until I didn’t. it’s really solid, however getting both my daughters to go on, and get posted on KZbin, too much of a challenge 😌. It was really slow with all that weight, so a mild upgrade will need to be performed and posted. I bought a second Urider in case my wife or family wants a scooter and a child seat, like all things eBay, the seller can Jack up the prices……. this thing works good as a mini rack (flat seat and arm help a lot), hence the rope I have, used it to drop off ups packages and haul my backpack

@@YouTruther yeah the little Jetson is awesome. I put a Burley Bee with two kids on hitch to the back of mine and it can do mild hills. You really feel the extra weight. (70lbs) It drains the battery in half. Good thing I have a spare external battery. Have you thought about doing an extra battery mod? (Shiva's channel on KZbin) Not sure where you would put it though. I have a 2nd stock Jetson and I'm waiting for this seat to arrive. It's too pricy for what it is. I totally agree with ya. www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B08QFRDNX1?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image

have considered it, will do an upgrade video when it happens, for now, have more basics video planned to get this channel started. I’m new to bolt, however, I started ebikes when they were still using lead acid batteries 🤣🤣🤣

does the rear seat/rack work on the jetson haze as well?
@ChristianSmith-j3f Жыл бұрын
I wonder if all JBPs are different. I had to drill a bigger hole through the side opposite of the disk brake to mount the arm for the rear rack...:/ None of the SHCS would fit cause the hole was way smaller. Also, for some reason, my break line is super close and its basically pushing against the. it wont even fit the way you did it, i had to go on the inside of the arm. All the products are really good though, i just bought the rear seat with back rest and handle bar version so that my little one has something to hold on on the way to school! Than you for your videos!!!

They are the same, and I’ve modified this over time, it’s a bit different now, I made the rack and seat suit a bit closer to the frame and mounted a bit different, less seat space, but better mounting points. I’ll include the updates in an accessory video and pin a post to the original video

Depends on where you live. Here in San Francisco, only kids under 12 have to wear a helmet. Also passengers on bike or motor bikes are required to wear a helmet.

You better not put a seat on the back or don't you won't be able to keep the front end on the ground the front end is real light
