@@sixthreezero I'll be honest I've checked every 3 passenger electric modes of transport and this has to be the best by far! Is it perfect it's difficult to say without riding it myself but from a distance you've got a decent product there. Common in the eastern nations but yeh for western world it's a great design.

The problem with ALL e-bikes now is the propitiatory batteries AND proprietary connections of these batteries to the motors. Once the battery dies, the entire e-bike is obsolete.

A battery is a battery so if you purchase a aftermarket battery you need to be sure the voltage is the same as your original pack. The AH (amp hour) rating is like the amount of gas that you have in your car so I would suggest matching or increasing that figure. You can even purchase a different style mount for the new battery as long as you have the real estate to mount it. I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a second battery for my new Lectric XP trike and adding one of the aftermarket kits to allow you to tie them both together. Example my trike users a 48 volt 10.4 AH pack if my memory serves me correctly so if I add the same AH secondary pack I increase my range from 60 to 120 miles. If I increase the AH rating of the second battery I can go further than that. The device that ties both batteries together will draw power 1st from the battery that has the most AH then as it levels the two packs out it will use both batteries at the same time. Remember the voltages will still be the same but you are matching or increasing the AH of the second pack. I hope this makes sense for you. Look around at AliExpress and check out all the offerings there as well as Amazon and other vendors and don’t be concerned that you might not be able to get a replacement battery should the folks that made your e-bike not be able to supply a replacement or worse go out of business. Depends where you buy it. Mine came from a small company which no longer is in business, so once the battery goes, I have a non-electric E bike. Unless I can find one that fits.

Nice idea but this bike will fall apart fast if you use it for a pedicab business.

We would respectfully disagree. We use great components and the subframe has extra supports to ensure if can support the weight of passengers.
