Very good tutorial about vof, Much appreciation from my side.

Sir, I want to ask you? Is it possible so that water may be from lower reservoir to the upper reservoir? And also when the inlet of lower reservoir it the bottom of higher reservoir. This was my question.
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Could you please explain more? I didn’t quite get your question.

If I can email you problem would be better. But is the same case presented above, only changes is that water is filling up reservoir from lower reservoir. Thanks 🙏🏽

Instead of marking you can create two domains in meshing with interior cells seperating the two domains then will only need to do to patching

Dear admin, Thanks a lot for all your tutorial videos. Btw, do you have any simulation tutorials of mixing ion-exchange resin (granular particles) and water in a vessel with air? like there are half water and half resin in a vessel, then we mix its with air (blow from the lower of the vessel)? Thank You, God Bless.
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Could you please elaborate more? The problem you are looking for is a vessel with already two phases inside and the third phase as air is mixing from the bottom? Similar to this image? www.idreco.com/wp-content/uploads/ion_exchange_05.png

Thanks for the vid, I have a problem exporting the animations. Fluent always crashes if I try to export it as a mpeg or even as a series of images. Do you know a way of fixing this as I cant find anything online.
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Fluent export animation is not working very good. Try CFD post for video creation.

Dear admin can you provide a video about the nanofluids natural convection inside a cavity ?
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Dear Reza, thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. One of CFD and Fluent's basic assumptions is continuity. I believe in the Nano-Scale, the continuity definition is not valid anymore and even if you define the geometry in Nano size, the results will not be valid. Could you please mention a paper or publication that did the same thing? If you elaborate the problem more, I could make a simulation.
@@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials thanks and i really appreciate your help actually we can assume that continuity is valid. I have done this in comsol and coding and it was true
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials4 жыл бұрын
@@rezakalantar2951 Okay, I will try to prepare a video related to this topic. However, I am quite confident that continuity is not valid. At Nano-Scale, even the non-slip condition is not 100 percent true assumption. The simulation will run and we can get good results comparing to the macro scale, but we will not see the nano-scale effects in heat transfer and fluid mechanics here.

Sir how can I plot vof vs time ?
@AdvancedEngineeringTutorials4 жыл бұрын
You need to export VOF value in from fluent to a file and plot using that. Please let me know if you need more help. Also for this case, since we have fixed amount of liquid and gas, the VOF is not changing with time for the entire model.
