only 3 years later, my cost for a new discounted M7K + Ergo Creeper, out the door $4100, which is less than the full retail price currently of the Max Jax M7K, my house is built in 1974, doubt the garage slab is at spec so I have to find a way test it before installing this. Prices are crazy now and 3 years in the future would only get crazier! Max Jax rep just told me in April they will increase the retail price!

Thank you for the video man, I am looking into getting one of these for my garage. just have no idea how strong or deep my concrete is. Ill probably do the same thing you did just to be safe.

Be sure to drill a few holes. Mine was deep enough around the edges due to a termite prevention layer but the center was barely 3.5 inches. I have a follow up video coming eventually. As I'm re routing the hydraulic hoses to be out of the way

I ordered a maxjax 3 days ago. I replaced a 10x13 section of concrete, $180 for a jackhammer, concrete $700 40k psi 5 inch deep with rebar. $400 for a helper for 3 days. It was not easy, so your price really wasn't bad. Peace of mind is important. i wouldn't do it myself again.

Great info on the lift, I have 05 Mustang and going install a Maxjax in a similar size garage what spacing on the lift post plates (out side to outside plates) also about where are the posts located from the mirrors other reference point when lifting your mustang for center point. Thanks great video

117 inches from the outside stud holes or 107 from the inside. I think you emailed me but for others that might be interested I would add extra staggered holes for working on narrower cars so you have more garage space.

Thanks for the video. Any issues with the lift. I'm about to purchase one.
@SpectroRacingChannel3 жыл бұрын
None. My only issue is there stent enough lock pin holes. Mainly one that's low down for suspension work without tieing stuff off or needing tall Jack's. You can make your own but max jax advises against it. Probably for legal reasons.

How much did the concrete work cost?
@SpectroRacingChannel4 жыл бұрын
$1,000. Southeast usa urban area. For 2 3x3ft 6inch deep cuts and fills. Took about 3 hours and made a huge mess. Had to scrub the entire garage of dust. Took 1 month to dry b4 I drilled the holes.

@@SpectroRacingChannel Did they use a wet saw and they should have told you or they should have covered the perimeter with plastic drop sheets

Whyd you need to do concrete work...was your garage cracked
@SpectroRacingChannel3 ай бұрын
The depth of the concrete was to shallow. Max Jax recommends more than what i had. I forgot the depth but its in their instruction manual.

They are almost 4 grand now you scored.

I feel that cutting out a square of the concrete is worst then use a less thick concrete slab because you are creating a separation of the slab and is like a patch even with the rebars can ectually still tilt over under heavy weight
@TMar1292 жыл бұрын
Nope. Thats 100% the correct way to go about this. I've worked with concrete and cement for year and patches like this are done all the time. The rebar ties it into the old concrete and the higher compressive strength of the newly poured concrete will hold the load of the lift over its life. The new concrete bonds to the old concrete so there is no possibility of separation.

You're way off on the cost
@SpectroRacingChannel3 жыл бұрын
I got my max jax used. The new ones might have gone up on price and vary wildly by need. If your not using it for a big heavy car or truck you dont need to spend that much.

@@SpectroRacingChannel everywhere ive been looking the lowest price i found STARTS at $3500 for the base kit. In other words, only the lift and no accessories. I saw them go up to $4700 through some dealers. Probably went up cuz Bend Pak bought them and now has that name tied to it. Paying for a name only.
