I'm glad to finally see someone who does potentially dangerous activities with their animals actually acting as if the animals are precious by giving them protective gear. I can't tell you how many videos I've seen where pet owners let the bird "surf" on the car side window, take their dog on the rear of a motorcycle and just act as if accidents never happen. OMG this touched my heart in so many ways. I have rescued Chihuahua's for over 30 yrs. I'm down to 1, the sweetie in the picture. I was looking for another rescue when a neighbor that was moving knocked on my door asking if I would take her cat. I didn't know her well, but I said yes. I took the cat to my vet to find out she was abused! I had to have all her teeth pulled because she was either hit or kicked repeatedly in the head :(...it only took me a few days to realize she was completely deaf. From the abuse the vet assumes. She had no other body trauma. They are both spoiled rotten. The sweetie in the picture was a puppy mill rescue so you know what she endured. I'm learning with the cat hand signals, flipping lights on n off, etc. She's about 6 years old is all the vet could guess. She was constantly hissing, clawing and wouldn't come near me in the beginning, but now a little love bug. She is black and white, so I re-named her Moo. I wanted her to have a whole new start. Thank you guys for sharing these stories.

What ever safety gear you have on your pet should at least have a helmet. You're protecting your head in case you fall then you should do the same for them, unless you think it's ok to get into an accident and have your brains scattered. Your pet doesn't want their head cracked like an egg so put a helmet on them, please. They do make them bc there are a lot of pet's that are on the move with their owners. Am I the only person who thinks this is just wrong? It’s absolutely too dangerous, not to mention unnecessary to take any animal on a motorcycle. The dogs get excited to go with the owner, not to be on a speeding motorcycle. Even a minor accident will cause these tiny dogs to be thrown to the ground and broken. I have 2 chihuahuas, Brody and Joey Saint Marie ( he’s a bit “ different “) , and I know exactly what you mean when you say they spin circles and dance and prance to the word “ GO”… mine can be in deep sleep on my bed and if I get up they immediately follow me! I only have a convertible not a bike but I did get my little Joey goggles for the wind. How precious they are, as yours are !!!❤❤love 😊where on earth did you find the itty bitty helmets???
