I was thinking exactly this..actually Jimin's songs chronicle his feelings through the pandemic which he has said on Jimmy Fallon, his Weverse Live when he talked us through his album and in his Production Diary. He was very explicit. The relationship he had difficulty in he calls a friendship ( of course it could be romantic & he is notoriously private but he was fairly explicit that it was a friendship he'd had for a while.). He said he had a couple of frienships which he drifted from and they let him down. He was quite explicit. He then was cross for trusting in certain people and found the relationship hard as he said on Suchwita. Then in Like Crazy it chronicles his reaction to that and to not performing etc ( again he mentions this void of not performing often in the 2020/2021 memories videos and in festa and in other places) and he starts to drink and tries to pretend everything is okay and others are living in a similar way. Then it Alone he starts to sink further into depression. He said this was the hardest song to write as the emotions were the most difficult and he said when he came to write it he was already feeling better ( again Jimin said this in his Weverse Live and in his Production Diary) . Another just fun fact Alone is Jhope's favourite track on the album. Then Set Me Free pt 2 is where he starts to become stronger and take control of his mental health again. ( again he told us this himself) and Set Me Free pt 2is the song he feels most affection towards. In fact he was originally going to ask Suga to feature and to help with the lyrics because he has a song Set Me Free. But decided not to as the album was his voice. In the Behind the Scene documentary Jimin states over dinner with Jungkook that it was some friends of his who ended up taking him to one side and pointing out that they felt he was depressed and acting differently and at first Jimin couldn't see it. Then he talked to Jhope, Suga and RM and the album idea began to form. It was such a fascinating documentary Jimin's Production Diary.. Jimin was involved in every stage of every song and came up with so many ideas. He and the 3 Hybe producer he worked with lived together for about 10 months and came up with everything. Jimin now says he is in a much happier place and wants to stay there. Jimin struggled with not performing to Army too and to being isolated... that came out in the Disney documentary Behind the Scene where he said to RM he wasn't coping so well at one point. So it was a complex and challenging time for Jimin as it was for many around the world but he channelled all that negativity into the most amazing album one that I can really resonate with and then we have that unexpected gift of Letter, a fan song for us to try and comfort us after the scary news from Festa 22 where we didn't quite know what the future would hold.... so Jimin wrote to us in that beautiful song and Jungkook did the backing vocals which was lovely. Honestly the whole process was so creative. RM helped write Like Crazy and Face Off and Alone.. and Jimin has always had the highest admiration for RM's lyrics.. ( and all of BTS) it has been a privilege to see Behind the scenes into Jimin's album. Of course we can't possibly know everything nor should we but he has shared so much intimacy about that time which is very special. Thanks for reacting to it. So Bora City is not completely wrong of course its just that we've learnt more and more about Jimin's process along the way and even more just over a week ago in the Disney Documentary. Have you heard Jimin's latest song Closer than This which dedicated to us as he left for military service? We also know he has more music to be released as do the other members so this is just the start... lots more to look forward to. Yes, they are very creative, dates mean a lot in Korean culture and in particular to Jimin and BTS mean so much to him too. Hence he is always keen to show his friendship tattoo 7 to us... you may be able to find snippets of the Disney documentary and of Jimin's documentary Jimin's Production Diary ( which was a paid documentary on Weverse) on KZbin.

jimin mentioned he wanted to do a conceptual album like filter but soon this album turned personal with everything he went thorough pandemic, he also mentioned in suchwita that yes Face-OFF is about his relationship with friend which got broken during pandemic too. so yes in a way you can say FACE-OFF is about a break up ( friend or partner a break up will always be painful) . he also mentioned in an interview that he originally planned FACE to be released on SoundCloud lol but it broke many records esp the first song by kpop soloist to get #1 and so far only solo song and korean solo song to get #1 too. he didn't made this album to reach charts but it's park jimin and his music which he involved through whole album so it'll be huge hit. in documentary we can see jimin had participated in every process of every song and making melodies etc.. he's such a musical genius but an humble king

Well to think about FACE theme he talked about how hard human relationships actually are, he never talked about a romantic relationship either.. i love that about him, he is so private we don't know but he did say in his interviews that the album is about his loneliness, the difficulty of trusting others (he did said he saw some ppl for who they where and he just lost ppl he cared about cause they only saw ways to take advantage of who he is instead of just seeing him, its sad but since he is just so big and relevant i guess at some point in his life he had to deal with this stuff, unfortunately it was during the pandemic 😢 he had to go through it all alone in his home without being able to even go to his inner circle of friends). Jimin just wrote the lyrics in a way that we can all relate even if its outside a romantic relationship, its funny cause music often talks about love but i find it more interesting when they touch other subjects like this 😅. FACE is just a super cohesive piece both in music as in concept.. to know he was involved in everything blew my mind, such a genius 🤩 hope you watch his making-off documentary you'll see how mature he actually is as an artist. Im so thankful we got finally a solo project from him, its only the beginning and im dying to see what he can do next 🎉😁👑

Jimin talked about it in n interview. It was based on the fact that they had trained extremely hard for a huge world tour that was ready to start when the world shut down for Covid. He got so depressed that he stayed in his room for six days drinking. He felt extremely alone because he wanted to be on stage and see Army very badly.

what are you talking about? you know nothing about their personal lives. you are just a fan. they share a slice of their life with y’all through their music and then spread such inaccurate viewpoints. jimin has mentioned breaking off relationships with people and has confirmed expressing those emotions in his lyrics. we don’t know the nature of the relationship, it could be platonic or romantic but that’s besides the point. to completely say that jimin and bts have no time to have fun is nonsensical and delusional. on many occasions, jimin has also talked about his non-celebrity friends. as a fan, you should hope that they are having fun as humans and can enjoy their social lives outside of super stardom.
