However, ARMY saw Jungkook's CK ads on the TSX screen and word got around that may be Jungkook would perform there and ARMY started gathering (was on the news). No it was NOT announced...Army's just guessed based on hints here an there...I think it was like 30 mins prior to JK's performance but Armys been there for hours waiting cuz of a "hunch" :) Power of Army shut NYC down...someone posted that they just went out to get milk but this happened and they could not head back to their apartment til after this!

This was meant as a surprise, but people expected it from about the night before. The official announcement was shortly before the performance. But, everyone knew. Me and my friend from NJ debated taking a train that morning but also didn't want to stand in a huge crowd for hours. No one knew the exact time. Just guesses. People probably started showing up around 1pm... TV was showing them from like noon, but the crowd definitely didn't get as big until later. But, it was all over social media and TV coverage checked in from like noon every hour to check out the crowd size.

Actually 3-4 hours before that performance there was a message going around that Jungkook might be performing at time square. No confirmation if he was performing but ARMY started coming and just waited there. It was shown in the local evening news coz there was a lot of ARMY positioning themselves on the sidewalks. Then 30 minutes before the performance it was confirmed that Jungkook was performing but ARMY was already there supporting him 110%. And they say that he is the 3rd person to be allowed to perform on that stage. My niece and her friend actually came to see him that day. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

After discovering BTS, I question whether every artist lip sings now. BTS lives are not perfect in the sense that it doesn’t sound like the studio version. You hear their breathing, and the change in audio when they’re singing and they move the mic closer or further from their month. And ad libs and runs are different than studio version sometimes. It totally makes sense to sound the way they sound when it’s done live. But these other artists sound EXACTLY the same as studio version, no volume changes or breathing or nothing. I didn’t know I liked lived performances over studio versions until I discovered bts. Now I’m all about live performances with a live band. It just hits different. More authentic and it touches your soul

I've always loved live performances and it's what I'm used to. It's also what I do live performance non of this lip syncing rubbish I want to hear raw vocals and any tiny imperfections just add to the performance. Otherwise you might as well be listening to a robot.

OZ here. I need to comment on whether artists are lip singing. Please try to understand how performing music on stage single artists or bands have in front of them set lists, lyrics and a running track that they here in earpieces. There is no such thing as lipsincing anymore although there are plenty of people who do. Folks use a running track for many reasons, the most obvious being an actual band is not performing with the artist. The sound technician provides a lot. They give you the actual performance with the background track, the mic, the mixing and singers voice or voices in the ear. Live Bands need to hear that mix no matter who they are. There are monitors with lyrics scrolling and that is also true for nearly everyone. I’m not making this up…you can watch your favorite concert and if there is a camera shot /take you may see it. Award shows are notorious for shots mistaken. Being “live” is what we love about seeing our favorite artists and the sound is priority #1 and you have the very skilled sound producers and technicians to thank for that…if you had a great concert experience or headphones you know who to thank. I’m sorry to go on but I really want to see you guys make a go of this channel and yes I am British. We’ve been very busy with the strike over and great producing opportunities are opening up. I’m a rock jock and I don’t listen to KPop other than a female version (same back story as BTS).. MaMaMoo. I’ve done 6 yrs of research on both of these groups and it’s been so fun. Even if we have to leave and come back due to whatever's happening at home eg the dog needs walking, hubbies made me dinner, a band member calls me etc etc or someone has to rush into a meeting but we just pick up from where we left off. That's the beauty of KZbin you can put thing on pause.
