I disagree that Jimin succeeded on effort only! Jimin came into Big Hit with an impressive dance portfolio that is so versatile. He has been characterized as a prodigy because he can dance virtually every genre of dance there is and he does it flawlessly; it is largely unheard of. Add to that his angelic voice and we can safely say that label got a rare gem! So while yes, his work ethic is second to none and that got him to where he’s at but that’s not all - dancing for him is innate - his body control, the way he moves, the way he combines all of those dance genre and adds his martial arts is a rarity. For him it’s like breathing.

BTS are a clever group. Jimin was valedictorian and called the god of math and either class president or vice president of his class. They act a bit like he teachers TA. Its usually someone highly academic as they help students struggling with work. Jimin was good at sports and academic. So its credit to his father that he supported his dance and martial arts.

This documentlary made me cry more. Jimin is just so humble. He is a perfectionist so hard on himself. We love him as he is. The King of Kpop and the Dance God Jimin. Humble superstar.

♦️Jimin was never trying to be 'masculine' like many claim he did in early days. On the contrary, he was trying to play the role of cutesy, which was assigned him when joining BTS! That's what he had to come to terms with! JIMIN even complained at first when requested, quite often, to do aegyo. RM & other members told him at the time, don't worry, you're naturally cute. And that's what he indeed learned to accept, because apparently that's what army apparently prefers and likes from him, even playing at being short when he was already above average height according to Korean standards. But even after he got older and grew to be 5'9" the official stats still left it at 173.5 cm for yrs, until finally it was officially changed to actual height of 175 cm. Jimin even, as we've seen in a clip from a behind the scene skit performance from annual fanmeet muster concert, where he was told he had to pretend he couldn't reach for something that he could easily because his role is playing the short, cute one. Also sadly he had to play down his amazing athleticism, 8 yrs of various forms of arts, (including blackbelt in Taekwondo), Hapkido, & Kumdo (Korean form of kendo), great at soccer, basketball, track, and play down his athletic ability since it was the 'golden macknae' role to win. So yeah it was hard for him, but he did learn to play down his masculinity and embrace the cutesy soft side. If you listen to his song 'Filter' he says it right there: I'll be whatever Filter you want me to be to army! And army prefers him this way! I mean they prefer and request cute or clumsy or flirty vids or want to show how everybody likes 'cute mochi' rather then request his amazing talent unbelievably! JIMIN even mentioned to RM during the 2019 Festa annual sit down of all members, that he at times wondered just how much of the real Jimin should he actually show, as opposed to army's perception. JIMIN even here is once again down playing his abilities, always so humble Also so much isn't mentioned here. Like how being that JIMIN only joined BTS in January 12, 2013, only 6 months before BTS debuted, (which is usually unheard of) he had virtually no vocal coaching as opposed to all the other members who had all been signed as trainees & members since 2-3 yrs before. JIMIN even talked about how he watched from outside while Jk & Tae were given vocal lessons. Jimin never had any vocal training in his past. JIMIN had to learn all BTS songs and dance moves as well as be in sync with all other members also learn the 'Kpop hip hop style' which is a bit different, more dumbed down then his more hard core style he learned, at Just Dance Academy since age 11, & still embraces, though he loves dancing contemporary as well, mainly because it expresses his inner most feelings & emotions that mush more, which Jimin always trying to convey not just through his dancing but also his vocal abilities. Even back then when he wasn’t sure if he would be able to join! & become a member of BTS, he told his Dad, not to worry, because if he didn’t make it, to be sure he’d succeed elsewhere. Jimin always had that kind of confidence, to be self assured, as well as patience to always persevere til he succeeds in whatever he attempts to do! I mean he's been awarded best Kpop dancer 6 yrs in a row as well as King of Kpop, 5 yrs in a row, but most, at least many international army prefer seeing this side, assuming just the opposite of the truth, although indeed he knows how to be quite charming, as well as being just cute naturally, army wants to beleive in the character rather then who he really is, which nobody should totally assume, and which sadly some have even gone to the extent of creating false rumors, that now, some of which has been turned into truths! Also find it interesting how more ppl also tend to request vids showing Jimin's perceived 'personality', or even assumed falsified 'insecurities', rather then vids showing his amazing, talent, skills, & abilities. Jimin's "insecurity" is overplayed and misunderstood by fans. A prime example is how many comments from Festa 2021 fixated with worry on Jimin saying he was embarrassed/shy about his personality. Meanwhile in the same video Jimin powerfully self-affirmed that he controls his own fate (he does not believe our path in life is pre-determined), and that he made all his dreams come true. "I wanted to go to an arts school. I did. I wanted to come to Seoul. I did. I wanted to debut. I did. I wanted to win. We did." Sooo simply stated, but you must understand the exhausting effort, perseverance, and last but not least, the unmatched SELF-BELIEF that made ALL those lofty outcomes a reality... only then you will see the essence of Jimin. JIMIN was never 'insecure ' as much as being a perfectionist and striving to be the best at anything he does! Also always shown are clips backstage when he was questioning his vocal ability. But it's never mentioned that that JIMIN had laryngitis right before arriving in Chile the first stop in their 2017 Wings Tour. So he was more upset at not being able to be at his best to say the least in front of army. Or when he talked about going on an extreme diet, (many idols have also tried extreme dieting, even BTS members at one time or another, even ppl worldwide also try at certain points in their lives), that he himself said he'd never do again, all of a sudden false rumors spread by haters saying he has an eating disorder, they even made a point of mistranslating the Korean words, which were misquoted as saying 1 meal in 10 days when it actually said 1 meal each day for 10 days. Which JIMIN did to get that sharp jawline, which he did achieve during the 2016 Wings era comeback. But still kept all his muscle tone and then some if you look at his muscular thighs & abs back then Funny how when there are many clips of JIMIN comforting other members backstage when they are concerned about their performance not being quite as good do to illness, nobody ever calls or says they're insecure! Also always shown is the early 2016 vlog from Japan that JIMIN made, but always edits out the part where he's ultimate LY saying he wished he could take 6 months off to get the vocal coaching he has yet to receive. No matter how good one is, if not using proper technique one can station vocal chords, or have as much stamina. It's amazing how JIMIN was so amazing naturally as a born singer BigHit gave him the tile of Lead Vocalist as well as Main Dancer. 👍❤️‍🔥🙏🐥😍✨💫

Perfectly said! The fandom who makes these videos - take this clip and that clip and put them together without proper context to drive this narrative that he was insecure, weak, messed up…blah blah blah but they always neglect to paint him in his true light, when they make these sorts of mini ‘biographies’. What’s so frustrating (and angering) is that they don’t show those same sides of other members - they all had their mountains to climb. I sometimes feel like they can’t allow him to escape this pigeon hole they’ve put him in and show the world how incredibly talented he really is, because that would breach this ‘role’ he was expected to play…and who he really is, so as not to overshadow other members.

Exactly, perfectly said., many times I argue exactly that, people tend to see only jm with insecurities and don’t see how strong will and minded he is, and how he learns from his mistakes and over comes it’s and gone Dwell on them. But people see one moment and take that moment for ever. He is resilient and strong and so patient to achieve the best for himself and that’s why he is who he is, the most amazing person Park Jimin 😊

Надеюсь и мечтаю, Чимин , после армии, будет тем , настоящим ! И я думаю что , что фанаты , полюбят его настоящего , тем более , Чимин , этого давно хочет ! You may want to check out Introduction to Park Jimin 2024. This video, no offense to the vidiographer, is more about Jimins struggles. Jimin is a perfectionist and when Bts debuted he was not alloted voice lessons. I am sure that weighed on him. Watching the other you will see how extremely talented and smart Park Jimin is. Honestly this was hard to watch! I already knew about all in this video. You both have a Great Week...✌💜

This video to me does not show the strong adult man that Jimin really is. There are too many clips that show him as insecure and unsure. I think it was RM that said of Jimin, that even though he is younger Jimin acts the most adult like. Even the the introduction to BTS by Taylor showed very little of his actual capability in many fields. The Jimin Videos shows his talents to a much better extent. There is not much news coming out of the military, but from what I do hear he is doing exceptionally well. See you soon.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Updated Jimin info that some aren't aware of: ❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy. Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!! So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to officially join BTS on January 12, 2013, (exactly only 6 months before BTS debuted), being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey! JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!! JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals. JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 5 yrs in a row, for KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, now an amazing 6 yrs in a row!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Aside from all that Jimin has won other countless award, broken many records. His many solo songs: ‘Lie’, ‘Serendipity’, ‘Filter’, ‘Promise’, ‘Christmas Love’, including collabs: Jimin's OST ‘With You’. Jimin’s song “Friends” he wrote, composed & helped produce, which ft. V, was also in Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’! Jimin also did a collab w/Taeyang ‘Vibe’, have all broken charting records worldwide, as well as being top seller, plus most listened to. Jimin is also featured in songs for Fast & Furious movie ‘Fast X’ in collab songs “Angel Pt.1” as well as “Angel Pt.2”. Now the same is happening with Jimin’s first solo released album “FACE” along with main title song “Like Crazy” as well as pre-realeased “Set Me Free Pt.2”. All other songs equally amazing Including “Face-Off” & “Alone”, & hidden track, “Letter”, Jimin’s ‘Like Crazy’ Debuted Atop Billboard Hot 100, First Solo No. 1 for a BTS Member. Songs are still topping charts in no less the 119 countries. The song also makes Jimin the first South Korean soloist in history to top the Hot 100. 🎉🎉 Also, "FACE" by Jimin debuts at #2 on Billboard 200 Album Chart. Jimin holds the record as the First Korean and K-Pop Soloist to achieve this feat in Billboard 200 history! JIMIN also just released “Closer Than This”, fan song just for army while all members are temporarily in the military, that is also doing quite well worldwide! Jimin has been writing the lyrics, composing melodies, as well as involved in production of songs, even playing guitar & piano for some songs, as well as hands on in choreography, filming, album, & set design of MV’s, which makes his continual, record breaking successes, in anything he does even more amazing! 🙏❤‍🔥🐥🥳🥰 Jimin continues to thrive in BTS' solo era following his official solo debut, that has propelled Jimin to make three new major Spotify records, to solidify his legacy as the most successful Korean solo artist in history, just two months into his solo career. Music data sources reported that Jimin's Spotify profile surpassed 1 Billion streams across all credits, becoming the fastest Korean/K-pop solo artist in history to reach this milestone. It took him 393 days to achieve these numbers, breaking the previous record of 409 days. Jimin has now surpassed way over THREE BILLION streams across all credits on Spotify (profile and solo songs) 🥳🎉 Jimin now has also broken the record for longest charting album by Kpop soloist in history on Billboard World Album, charting for now 56 weeks on billboard world album, Jimin has just now achieved another hugely significant feat! 🟢💯#JIMIN, as first solo artist, has now joined his group #BTS as the only Acts to spend over 300 days at #1 on Spotify South Korea Daily Top Artists Chart! 👑Park Jimin is First & Only soloist to reach this milestone, as well as now being the first Korean soloist to achieve no less then the status of 3 Platinum Certifications by selling 1 million units of “Like Crazy” each in the USA, Japan & in S.Korea! 🎉🥇Jimin’s “Like Crazy” has now joined the Billion Club on Spotify surpassing over 1 billion streams! Also, "FACE", Jimin’s album has exceeded 2 billion streams on Spotify, marking a historic milestone as the first Korean album by a Korean/K-Pop soloist to achieve this remarkable feat! 💥👍❤‍🔥🔥🥳🎉😍 ✨Jimin military achievements updated: 🎯Jimin has now been assigned to the Fire Direction Center, known as the “brain of the artillery”. A complex work that plays an important part in military operations, requiring good knowledge in mathematics and physics (Jimin excelled in both math & science, ‘called g-d of math’, in school), as well as good judgment. To be selected, talent for calculation, is needed having more chances, those who majored in math or physics.🎯👍🙏😍🫡 🎉 Also according to k-media as well as posts from his dad, beforehand, after first joining the military, Jimin ranked first overall, after 5 weeks of military training. Jimin received the highest commendation from the Division Commander as the Top Best Trainee🥇of his unit and took the oath on behalf of the trainees. This recognition is given to the trainee with the highest overall marks from all assessments during the training period.🥇🫡🥳 Jimin, then promoted to Private First Class! And now the most thrilling, amazing achievement yet! From his student, artist, and now military life, wherever Jimin goes, excellence follows.🏅🎉🫡👏👏🐥🥰 Jimin also become the Global Ambassador for both Dior as well as Global Ambassador for Tiffany & Co.! Jimin also is breaking records for being #1 branding marketing idol, every single month for over 4 yrs, a feat never achieved before, and still ongoing! The term the "Jimin Effect" is now in the Urban Dictionary! So much more as well but will stop here.

This documentary only depicts periods of Jimin's struggles which there's nothing wrong with of course, but there are a lot more to Jimin that this video fails to demonstrate.

highly recommend for you guys to watch, when you get the chance as well as have extra time since it’s longer: ❣Jimin Introduction 2024 by channel TheJiminVideos, which has more accurate, amazing, all so informative, info about Jimin as well as equally amazing performance clips, as well as comments from professionals, as well as Jimin himself. This channel also has many other compilation about Jimin I equally recommend. 👍❤‍🔥🐥😍🔥

Actually it is also same for K-pop to show good things only, but for BTS before they do all those behind the scene they suggest to the staff that they will also show their weaknesses, their reason is for the fans to know that they are also is human that have experience ups and downs, but it ok that hows life is. That's why their song has story behind it. You can watch it it their old videos.

Being skinny is a thing is Korea . It’s very different lol.. good skin care is very important .. they don’t smell either .. koreans and Japanese are born without the odour gene , so they don’t smell bad .. they can sweat but it does not smell .. u won’t find deodorant in their stores lol

No smell? That's interesting. I know Korean males dont carry the gene that encourages a lot of body hair growth.

I would also highly recommend watching Jin's documentary. I just love/prefer individual documentaries rather than the combined ones, since it's solely focuses and discloses deeper, little things abt their lives. I love all 7 of theirs but the one that really hit me the most was Jin's, there's also not so many ppl that have reacted to that specific vid which i thought was really well made. That's why i really look forward to you guys reacting to it, it's titled "BTS - The sad story of JIN who blamed himself after his debut"

Young Koreans view beards as messy, unclean, eccentric, or reflecting a bad lifestyle, whereas a neat shave denotes intelligence, refinement, and class. Still, the presence of a beard and mustache is regarded as a sign of wisdom among older men. Therefore, in Korean culture, it is disrespectful for young men to grow a beard in front of an older guy who is beardless. Another interesting fact about Japanese and Koreans: don't use deodorants. Why, because they don't stink. They have a genetic mutation. :) Good for them.

I love that Korean men take care of their skin and care about their appearance. Perhaps they think, she enjoys presenting her most attractive self to me, so why shouldn't I do the same for her? Their egos seem to be intact when it comes to appearance. I also like that they have very little body hair. Now that's a big plus. Jimin is very comfortable with his divine masculine and divine feminine self. He's sensual, sexy, sensitive, and talented all wrapped up in a killer good looking male body. What a wonderful combination.

He was pretty worn down by the time he debuted. They almost cut him 8 times, so that’s why he felt that way. The kind of dancing he did before, made it harder for him to do the kind of idol dancing they wanted, and he had never gotten voice lessons til later. He has really achieved so much. He is also so uplifting. It’s like therapy ❤

Talking about Jimin reading his letter at the beginning. It appeared to me that he was very embarrassed that he was crying and showing his emotions, or why would he have held the paper to hide his face. I think in their society it is also an expectation to have self control. When Jimin had to sit on the chair because he couldn't move properly so he sat on the chair, they have done the same on occasion for some of the other guys. I have heard it referred to as the chair of shame. JK had to sit on stage once when he cut his ankle just before a show, he hated it too, he just wanted to perform even though they were warning that he could make the injury worse. Jimin is a perfectionist, always was, even before joining Bighit, and I think Bang Si Hyuk was very wise when he chose his team that apart from the members having to be talented he also looked for them to be hard working and to be of good character, able to get along with others.

Early days after their debut, Jimin really tried to appear to be masculine. Partly because BTS's stronger, darker image & more hip hop style at the time, guess also his preference at the time too (remember he used to love martial arts & even once dreamt of being a swordsman like Zoro in One Piece when he's young). I'm glad he later found a softer image he's obviously more comfortable & suits his personality more. Being softer and expressing the inner self more doesn't mean he's weaker, he's absolutely not. I would quote two comments RM said about Jimin - (1) "I have a lot of respect for Jimin. He's the most adult in our group in a way" (2)"Jimin is the cutest living thing in this whole world" I don't think all Koreans/Asians are humble, just like any culture there are people (or artists) who love bragging, being selfish or arrogant. For BTS, there are so many components combined together to make them so unique. All members are naturally good people & they keep each other on the right track along the way. Bang PD (& his team) also played a huge role in their growth as well. Literally, the company tagline is "Music and Artist for Healing'. They were encouraged to speak their mind, taught how to handle conflicts, etc.. Also, we don't talk about it enough, but it's important that the company allows them to show their true selves, tears, fights, and darker thoughts on camera. Yes, you can argue it's a marketing strategy to get more fans, but the recordings also give the boys a chance to reflect on themselves & be better humans (not just better artists).
