I made a handful of these last night to hold my long runs of paracord. I think I finally have the Diamond Knot memorized!

After I started making paracord zip ties and found them more useful than I could have imagined, I then looked here to see if I was doing it correctly. Turns out, mine has more uses. So I thought I'd share. I'm a DJ so my needs may be broader than average so I'm not criticizing these techniques at all. But I use an overhand not to creat a teardrop shaped loop (length as desired). Cut close to knot and melt smooth. .Then I add a sliding but very tight range knot next to the overhand knot. Now it's as simple as wrapping bundle using a cow hitch and slide ranger knot down onto cow hitch. This design can tighten as tight as you need, plus can be used to synch together cords running side by side. Or fasten to table legs neatly. Longer cords may wrap bundle until you run out of cord the stick through loop, tighten, and synch. So same cord can be used to carry cable, and organize parallel lines of cable during a show... the bundle again to carry home. A mess of cable is no longer messy.

Great video. I use similar setup for soft gear ties for my bags. Thanks love you content.

This is a better diamond knot tutorial than the diamond tutorial video by you. Maybe it was made earlier? Making the criss cross pattern was clear, The last step of getting it past the bottom ropes was the step that kept tripping me.

Nice.....recently viewed one of your videos that I believe was 3 years old called "A better way of using buckles on a bracelet".....but I never saw you make a bracelet using that pre-made core.....did you ever make one? and if so, what is the link?......thank you.

Why not try making a knot that looks like an animal?

I'm unclear on how you would make a second diamond knot from the tails of the adjustable organizer.

Weavers - All very nice and decorative, but also time consuming. I tie a bull hitch at the midpoint of a line, that's the cinch point. Then I feed both ends through the cinch in the same direction. Both ends are then tied together with a figure of eight knot, that's the stopper. The ends can function as a loop for a carabiner or hook. Just because I do things differently doesn't make your work any less valid or worthy. Keep tying.
