I mean, that line actually fits the desertduo's whole transition from 3rd to double. at first, grian and scar were teammates "without a single string"- the string representing the tie between partners in double life. but when it came to double life, grian wasn't feeling pity or anything on scar. he was bound to scar no matter what happened. and you can love someone all you want, but it's when you're soul bound to that person when both of your true colors show.

There are so many little things I noticed in this... Grian wearing the flower in his hair, Scar tying his hat around his neck after it blew off, the hole in Grian's shirt for his wings. The ENDING (I love watcher lore) The poses are so good. I love the art. The song is great... This is going immediately in my best animatics playlist

I love the characterization of Grian in this animatic, the way it looks like he learns to love, and accecpt and move past his misakes was done remarkably well. Bravo!! I also really like the way Grian's wings grew through the series, and how, at the end, the only boy with wings, chose to fall to his death. excelently done. The watcher detail at the end was spectacular as well!! Super job!

im in awe. the transition to when theyre dancing, the smiles especially when grian does the tnt trap, the expressions in general, all amazing. and the backgrounds do a perfect job of showing me exactly where they are without distracting me from the characters themselves. anyways i love this

I love everything about this- the look Scar gives Grian while he's blowing stuff up is so heartwarming, and the flower switching from Grian to Scar??? sobbing on the ground. Was not prepared for that ending omg (also love love love when people do the "pulling someone towards you while dancing" so much

I was not emotionally prepared for this. Every scene was an absolute masterpiece and I wasn't expecting the Watcher reference after all that heartbreak. You made this song fit Desert Duo so well and I can tell you put a lot of time into the details. This is a beautiful animatic!!

oh man… this is really really good, and it gets better the more you watch it. i’m probably gonna sit and watch it on loop for a while now haha ok!! some things i really liked and that stood out on rewatching: -scar has a scar in the shape of a heart -the way you draw hands and teeth are really…. satisfying? for lack of a better word? they’re very very good tho i like them a lot -you can *see* the improvements as the video goes on, it’s really cool. characters get more expressive, framing + shots get more dynamic.. augh it’s just so good -lastly, my favorite bits are either when scar throws the note down and bdubs & grian go after it because it’s just such a cool shot, OR when scar holds the sword to his neck, OR when grian has the huge grin after blowing people up and scar just looks at him and aaaagghghghhghgh i just love it so much -THE ENDING I FORGOT THE ENDING THAT LAST SHOT OF HIM ON THE CLIFF IN SCARS CAPE GUAUAGAHSGAHSGHGSGGHWGDHDFHJ
