I travelled to Avoncliff Halt, between Bradford on Avon and Freshford, to record the first of two steam specials on Saturday 27 April.
This first train was the Bath and Gloucester Steam Express from London Paddington to Bath and Gloucester, hauled by LMS Black 5, Nº 44871.
I then went on to Freshford to capture the next special, which was the UK Railtours / Belmond Pullman 'Clan Line 50th Anniversary' special from London Victoria to Bath, with 35028 hauling a rake of Pullman Coaches.
I also captured a few mundane diesels at the various locations that I visited during the day, as well as some photos at Avoncliff and Freshford.
The weather wasn't very good in that it was cloudy with a cold wind blowing but at least it remained dry!
