Excellent explanation. This is the best two-step cluster analysis video. Thank you :)

Thank you so much for this video! It is the best explanation about two-step cluster analysis here on youtube :). Now I really understand how to run and interpret this analysis ;)

Hi, thanks for this video, really helpful. I noticed that when conducting the last t-test you didn't change the grouping variable to reflect the second cluster grouping (without gender) that's why you still had insignificant differences in comprehension scores

Hi, thank you for your video. I have one question about running the T-test after Clustering. Should we consider the normality of the data when running a T-test with generated clusters? Is it important to check if all the data is normally distributed?

The Auto-Clustering table does not show up. Any explanation on why this table is not displayed? I followed every step in this video and spss does not produce this metric table.

Professor, Can i do Hierarchial cluster analysis, using 4 individual Likert items (each measured on a 5 point scale). These 4 items assess attitude of respondent, and they constitute a single latent variable, in my study.
@VahidAryadoust8 ай бұрын
it depends on the characteristics of the data.

I have learned a lot from your videos. Kudos, Dr! Please what's the best way to estimate the mean from a Likert Scale (1-strongly disagree to 5-strongly agree)? Assume that I have transformed my data from ordinal to the interval (person measures) and I want to conduct a one-sample t-test. Thank you.
@VahidAryadoust3 жыл бұрын
You Should let SPSS estimate the mean for you in the t test menu.

My name is Laras and currently working on research about Analyze segmentation customer using Post-Hoc Method with two step cluster and I'm stuck and I need help, i dont know where to ask because my professor in university is not understanding about clustering stuff like this :( Dr, please can you help me? maybe i can contact you personally related my questions because i'm very lost sir. Sir, what does it means when the Ratio of sizes is 2.78? Is it good or bad? and you said in the video "ideally it should be less than 2" Can i know based on what? i mean the journal or theory resource, who said that better it should be less than 2 or 3?

What ration is that? not sure exactly what you are referring to.

@@VahidAryadoust It's in the Cluster Sizes table and pie chart sir, the one that shows you the Ratio of Sizes Largest to Smallest Cluster/Size of smallest cluster/Largest cluster, from the two step clustering system SPSS in your video sir
@larasgilangrahmany2893 жыл бұрын
@@VahidAryadoust If you watch in the video at 19:20 the result of your ratio of sizes is 1.04, you said that "its good if the ratio of sizes less than 3 and ideally should less than 2, the closer you get to 1, the better it is"
@larasgilangrahmany2893 жыл бұрын
@@VahidAryadoust What i'm asking for is, do you have any journal or research reference that state "less than 3 is good" or basically why Ratio of sizes less than 3 is good?

@@larasgilangrahmany289 I would start off by looking at the fit statistics first; if the fit of a solution / model is better, i would select that. However, if the size of one cluster in that solution is disproportionately larger/smaller than the rest, I might want to move to the second best model.

Hi, sir. I hope you are doing well and have a wonderful holiday and merry christmas sir! I want to ask a question related to steps of doing two step cluster : Do we have to use CF Tree first for PRECLUSTERING phase before doing the final clustering using BIC/AIC? I really hope you can answer me this time sir :') thank you so much
@VahidAryadoust3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you could do that.

@@VahidAryadoust But, if i only use the BIC/AIC without Cf tree, is alright?
@VahidAryadoust3 жыл бұрын
@@larasgilangrahmany289 BIC/AIC is used for model comparison (.g., you have 2 or more models and you want to find the best among them). Read the following about CF trees: www.ibm.com/docs/en/spss-statistics/24.0.0?topic=analysis-twostep-cluster-options
