I know this is an older video but i use the same harness vest and found the stick mule system from g3d worked out well for me this past season. I used 3 to 4 sticks but it allowd me to hang them from my hip with ease. I like the height your getting with two sticks though. Thanks for the video.

I run 17” 2 step aiders with 2 17” sticks and get at the highest 12’. I have deer walk right under me at that hight. I only use this method early-mid season while there is still decent cover. Thanks for the demo!

@@lukebonagurio4503 heck yeah you can! It’s all the same! One sticking is just a superior method of ascending a tree. Long as you have a way to hold or hoist the stand, you are set!

2 sticks and 2 step aiders from Custom Amsteel is the way to go. I put 1 stick at knee height and step up on it to attach the other stick, then step off the lower stick and climb onto the first aider. This method allows me to get about 20 feet up in the tree .
@theMobileHuntersEXPO3 жыл бұрын
I like two sticks with cam cleats and rope mods and the step aiders now. From Eastern Woods Outdoors of course. But I’ve been one sticking these days. Lol. Got an EWO Ultimate One Stick with a UP Platform. On it I have the cam clear and rope mod of course. And an UltimAider with a Pack n Play.
@joshluck14194 жыл бұрын
Can't wait to mod my Lone Wolf sticks with the EWO double step aiders. I'll be going from using 4 sticks to 2 sticks and will roughly be able to obtain the same height.
@theMobileHuntersEXPO4 жыл бұрын
Dude. You will LOVE this method! It’s so easy!
@davidrussell6313 жыл бұрын
Regardless if using short or long sticks or single or double step aiders….since you can only hang a stick as high as you can reach, there’s no way to reach 4 stick heights with 2.
@joshluck14193 жыл бұрын
Yes you can only hang a stick as high as you can reach, but my legs cant reach that high without the use of aiders. If my sticks didn’t have aiders then I have to hang my sticks much lower and with less of a gap between them in order to safely be able to step onto it.
@davidrussell6313 жыл бұрын
Only downside to any aider left dangling is the possibility of spooking a deer on breezy days, but the ladder type aider is definitely safer and easier to get your foot into than a strap loop. Even if you use hose or something to open the loop, it can still rotate on you before you get your boot in it. I have some cable aiders on a couple of Hawk Helium’s, one set cut and modded to a mini, but for another step I also use a CAYG aider that I cinch around my boot, if it’s only for the bottom of the tree. Even when you remove the issue of having to fish your boot into an aider, you still need to remember it’s a very real possibility your boot toe can still on wet trees, especially on smoother trees. Y’all stay safe.

Hey man are you wearing a saddle or is that a safety harness? I see your vest says Hunter safety system but trying to figure out if that’s two things? And I’m guessing you unhooked the lineman’s belt and hook it up differently once sitting?

I'd switch your stand upside down so the teeth won't bust your skull if u fall down face first

@@theMobileHuntersEXPO lol sorry I wasn't detailed enough, on you carry straps, the teeth are facing up. I fell one time and the stand flew forward and hit my head with those teeth. Just a little safety tip lol

Did you get the nylon webbing aiders from ewo? I would like to run this setup on my helium 20s
@theMobileHuntersEXPO4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did! They are the double loops. If I was a bit taller, I’d run triples and be sky high. Lol. Each loop is 20 inches. Sticks are 20s as well.
@JayN4GO4 жыл бұрын
@@theMobileHuntersEXPO I don’t see them for the helium sticks. Looks like they come with the actual step? 😞
@theMobileHuntersEXPO4 жыл бұрын
I feel like you could remove the bottom step from your stick and add the double step. That’s what others have to do because they come sewn on to the step.
@rickt11543 жыл бұрын
Why not just use a climber?
@theMobileHuntersEXPO3 жыл бұрын
Because a climber is way heavier and extremely limited bits also louder and bulkier. And I can get two sticks high and stand hung in about the same time or slightly less.
