The camera focuses on the roof and floor and everyone else is like let’s see the eye level stuff. Haha must be looking at it structurally

I would definitely be growing all kinds of fruiting tees in there… it’s stunning! There is a reason why the governor wants to shut it down because it makes necessities affordable and non damaging to the planet.

How many sqft is this earthship? Also how much did it cost to build it?

How do you see updates on the property how much more beautiful could it be now

the moving camera makes it difficult to see any detail. allowing the camera eye to rest a moment lets it come into focus

Communal space? Wouldn’t that be up to those living there to prepare such spaces? Reynolds is an architect trying to build recycling and that is hard enough so why not present your ideas to people who live there and see what they come up with? Money is always needed for construction so start a fund me for their project and get the creative juices flowing!

The point of the cans is to SOLEY to shape and mold the concrete, so that giant support column could definitely be built from the cans the honey comb shape is what gives it the structural integrity. The creator Mike obviously knows more about architecture than you do channel owner lol

EXACTLY!!!🎯
@VANYO214 жыл бұрын
Not only that, but the cans also drastically reduce the amount of concrete used in the process of building.

Was really interested in hearing about his design and what the process was for a 2 storey earthship. Great craftsmanship, just a pity the female kept going on about shared communal places and why was that not put in place, was really quite annoying. I just wanted to hear the guy talk about his design and the process and less of her patronising voice. Totally wrecked the vibe, also the use of cans helps in the lesser use of concrete and helps with the structural integrity and freedom of form for the design of an earthship. Hopefully someone has gone back and interviewed him again and not been so patronisingly smug.

The psyciatric wounds that perpetuate petty and devestating abuses are learned behaviour. The heart is not just for pumping blood. The person who is inspired to gather and carefully use water, lift the pressures of insanity off human existence is a very stark contrast to burning fossel fuel to populate the very heavens with rubbish...all of which will come home by gravity Tree hugging peacewalkers peacecyclers peacemakers are heaven on earth angels. Thanks for the inspiration and enthusiasm for creative work!

Earthships are extremely expensive if you hire them to build one for you, it’s about 200-300$ per sqft, definitely NOT WORTH IT for an offgrid build, now if you build it yourself it’ll be dirt cheap since almost half of the building material will be free, but it is extreme labor hence why it costs alot to hire them to build it for you, earthships are a good concept and they look good, but the only people having them are indeed wealthy tree huggers and people who are willing to build them themselves

I would like this better if they covered the aluminum cans with cob as well. I get why they use them, but I do not like the esthetic.

How can you dislike something that’s not completed? That’s like tasting cake batter and saying you don’t like the cake. Once the cake is cooked, it’s a different experience.
