The way I screamed when you said “I heard the natural hair girlies were looking for a new home” 😅 I literally had waist length natural hair and it just got to be too much so I started locs. I make my 1 year anniversary in 2 weeks lol

lololol we've all been there😂 most loc babes I meet have been loose natural for yearssss before starting to loc up. I like to say locs are the final boss of loose natural hair, this is the promise land😭 happy 1 year anniversaryyyy🤎

I started with waist length, 3b 3c hair and comb coils. I started 8 weeks ago. It's so hard to find people with a similar journey who are further than me

2 years 7 months DIY 2 strand twist starter locs.🎉🎉🎉Best decision ever! I currently have 212 microlocs. I started with more and combined 4 into 2 and also started a loc from hair growing near the front perimeter about 4-5 months on this journey. My daughter has Sisterlocs. She has had them for more than 7 years. Her locs are waist length now. She said interlock and I did and have. However, I am trying a new experience and just retesting my locs. Occasionally I twist and band when I’m washing my hair. Last interlocking session was 9 weeks ago. I like gentle experimenting with my locs. I have learned a lot on this journey about my hair and I was a loose natural for 10 years before locking my hair. Again, best decision ever. This video is excellent btw.

I loveeee micro and sisterlocs! but wow, you had more that 212 at first!?😭👏🏾 I agree though, I gently experiment with my locs from time to time as well. definitely like to stay open to learning new things about my hair and how to best care for it🙌🏾 thank you for watching🤎🤎🤎

I'm two and a half weeks into my two strand twist loc journey.. so far so good but I think it's because it's styled.

Greetings.. Just started my loc journey on yesterday! I did the small/medium two stand twists because I know they will plump up later. Btw-Came across your channel last week and subscribed 🎉

i’ve been 3 weeks into my journey. does parting really matter? i’ve been aiming for the semi freeform look.
@thesimoneestelle2 ай бұрын
i've heard a lot of conflicting ideas of what "semi-freeform" truly is. however, the most consistent has been that to semi-freeform means not to retwist the hair (have it loc naturally with time) while maintaining a parting system (so the locs don't conjoin like freeform locs do). in the event that definition of semi-freeform locs is your goal i would definitely say parting matters, but more so maintaining whatever type of parting you do have👍🏾
