because they need to sell new textbooks each year, and make sure the student scores are a bell curve. no one actually cares the students understand anything useful in their life.

They don't make them like this anymore, for all of the extra technology it's sometimes harder to find the answers today than 20 years ago because of the sheer volume of rubbish out there. The creators of this video are an example to youtubers and modern day instructors on how to explain engineering concepts.
