sorry, this is what was supposed to be pasted Machiya usually plays a Sago guitar, it's a 33 "scale baritone with 29 frets tuned BEADF # B, if you capo at the 5th fret it becomes a 25.5" scale guitar in standard E tuning. Try Homura + Akatsuki no ito from the 1st japan tour 2015 or "Hakushu Kassai" from daishinnenkai 2018

When you take concerts in general, Japan has an amazing track record with live concerts. Just talking about WGB, I have never seen one of their live concerts be anything but perfection. There is a video of Akatsuki No Ito where there are a tremendous number of people not at the venue singing the song almost as an overture of some sort before WGB came out, and then they had a video wall of individual screens with all these people singing the song almost in harmony with the group. It was just amazing. And it's not just WGB, pretty much every live concert is an event to be part of and to be enjoyed by everyone there.

こんにちは(Ko n ni chi wa)lol Nice reaction! Their harmonies are amazing, they gave me goosebumps! By the way, do you know a Japanese rock band called ONE OK ROCK? I recommend you to watch the song "We are" that they sang at the live performance called "18 festival(18祭)". I almost cried when I saw it for the first time.

こんにちは♪ konichiwa♪ You pointed out how many channels there are. As you may have guessed, there are a tremendous number. The members of Wagakki Band have said in interviews that the number of staff members who do not appear in public is quite large, unlike in a regular live concert. This time, the number is quite large because it includes a special orchestra. I remember that the total number of staff for a regular concert was four or five buses. Apart from the baggage trucks. Then there were people who adjusted the sound to be played on the monitors during the concert, people who adjusted the sound to be played to the audience, and for the video work you are seeing now, each was recorded on a separate channel, and the mastering work was done at a later date in the studio. Each member's wireless earphones are individually customized according to the frequency response of his or her own ears, so they are personalized. Naturally, spares are also provided. I believe the members have several sets of channels they want to listen to and can switch the sound they want to monitor at their fingertips. I have heard comments from members in the past that suggest this. I don't know if there is a channel that is cut off completely or if it is rebalanced, as it still seems to hinder my work in no small way if I can hear all the sounds. As is the case in this venue, drums, etc. are separated by transparent acrylic panels in pursuit of the quality of sound in the recording, but Wasabi, the drummer, said he was troubled by the fact that he could no longer directly feel the sensation with the audience, and that this was a sacrifice. Many of the traditional Japanese instruments have a thin sound, so when combined with modern Western instruments, the sound is muffled. Of course, in the early days, they had a hard time because there were no sponsors, and they said they were lucky. One exception is the syaku-hachi, a traditional Japanese flute made of bamboo, which he said with a laugh, snatches all the notes. He said that the microphone system for the syaku-hachi was developed by the band. I'm sure many more things will come out when I tell you about the original technology. I don't know how many days they spent collecting wadaiko drums from all over Japan, beating them one by one, and saying, "This one is different, this one is different, this one is different, this one is different, this one is different. I don't know how many days it took. The members of Wagakki Band often talk about the effect of glow sticks at live venues, and they say that the audience is also an important component of the live show. One of the regular events at live shows is an audience participation event called "drum battle," where the audience plays with a Japanese item called a harisen, which is distributed before entering the venue, to make noise. In addition, I was there, of course, but the atmosphere was more formal than usual because it was a symphony. Of course, there was no dress code lol Anyway, the live sound in that place gave me goosebumps. The best moment comes back to me. The moment when two different voices with different characteristics become strangely beautiful harmony and get excited....

Thanks a lot for your tremendous amount of informations. We really value your effort that you shared with us. We understand perfectly what are you saying cause we, Christian and Jochen, are both sound engineers. Me, Christian, specialized in symphonic but not just, Jochen specialized in metal. We ware both in studio and live situations, in small and also large venues. I've remember a few years ago, mixing a musical show with an entire band, some symphonic instruments and "just" 31 microphones and headsets for the solo vocals and choir. My God, it was a huge challenge but also a dream to work in a project like this. (Der Jedermann, das Musical Rockopera in Neunkirchen, Germany).
