I'm planning this exact conversion, do you plan on updating the bed also? I have yet to get an acceptable first layer on mine with the stock plate.
@simrtech3d2 жыл бұрын
I never had any problems with the bed plate see my other video the hooks were fast and at 100mm/s minimum on the first layer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJm0f2B4mLh-Zpo and with the original blue plate kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2LEq5Smh9qhgdU but I have a stock 8mm plate with 220v bed in case: I even find the blue film too powerful the pieces were difficult to remove (see in the video the piece that remained on it: D) live.staticflickr.com/65535/51994837776_e53c1a9f72_b.jpg but at the moment i'm busy with my voron 2.4r2 : live.staticflickr.com/65535/52006841803_2740eb8a3f_b.jpg

Did you change your bed mount bracket?
@simrtech3d2 жыл бұрын
sorry I had not seen your comment, I am very busy mounted my voron 2.4r2 for the bed I just added metal (if you look, you will see it a little in the video) to the front to lengthen it by 5cm, the best thing is to do a clean installation or take that of the voron 1.8 or redesign the support, I will focus on it later the final assembly of the voron 2.4r2

@@itsame6217 see the trident manual from page 24 to page 52 and 57 to 61 for the XY motor and belt tensioner and finally page 98 to 124 for the X carriage/axis and position of the belts. for the idler check page 27 to 32 That's what I did, but you need to modify the trident a bit, it's not really plug and play because of the 2040s which have a linear rail for the bed, you will have to replace the 2020 which is just at the above by a 2040 or else do as you see aimed a second 2020 for in fact a 2040...

Sources convertion kit ? Tks
@simrtech3d2 жыл бұрын
there is no kit, it's just an adaptation of the Gantry of the voron Trident. Just print the parts of the Voron Trident Gantry and buy the parts to do the assembly see the sourcing / bom of the Trident to mount the gantry and it's done and after use klipper and take the printer.cfg of the voron 1.8 and adapted to the mks robnin nano v1.2 (my mks robin no longer wanted to connect to klipper I changed to a skr 1.4) and therefore if you put a skr 1.4 or octopus or fystec spyder just copy paste the printer.cfg and then adjust yourself according to the print volume of your machine, here for example with this mode, I switch to a smaller print volume of x250 y 280 and z 280 (before x300y300z350) if you don't want to lose print volume instead of doing the Gantry Trident, you have to do the voron 1.8 one, note you need a 2040 instead of an original 2020 (the horizontal one) on the side mounts otherwise you can't mount xy, because the vertical 2040 would prevent it, personally I just fixed two 2020s together to make it a 2040

Hi did you think that can be made the same thing with the sapphire pro? Thanks
