Good video- I need to come up with a solution-my grinder/disc is so out of balance that the Grinder is trying to jump off the bench.

Is that metal outer washer loose or doesnt it also need to be corrected. And could you put masking tape or electrical tape on the shaft so that the washer fits tightly. Thanks for any help im new to this and just bought a bench grinder that vibrates like yours and i want to fix it.

Mist stones come with inserts. Lacking that wrap the shaft with electrical tape until you have a good fit. Done.

Nice ideas. Good result. Did you thin the shaft at the thicker end?

I don't know if it's a good idea but to get the washers to dimension you could also heat the shaft and then slide the plastic washers on, instead of filing it by hand

I think that is not the case in this case.

Может быть ABS лучше обрабатывается, я пока с ним не работал. drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HcqXlpWKajEJfYLzYJa9LxaPkfAn94Lm

You probably already know this, but the most mortal sin you can commit on a bench grinder is using the side of the stone.
@seangere9698 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't trust a 3D printed PLA blank like that as the final form. 3D printed PLA is good if you use it as a Blank/Positive for making a mold of the part and then casting it is another substance after fixing all the flaws (all the print lines) by sanding, filling or so before using it to make a mold. And I sure wouldn't use it for any length of time on something that runs at 3k RPMs or more even if it is 100% infill.

If you have seen, abrasive discs are also sold with a plastic sleeve, and it is not even solid. And this is not caprolon or something from which gears are made. However, until I heard anything happen to such a hub, I myself have used such discs for many years. I think the reason is that there is not such a large load in the center, the loads increase towards the edges of the disk. By the way, they can increase by the central sleeve with an unbalanced disk.

why don't they just make these for bench grinders rather than those stupid washers
