@@kakstin I've had a cat in my life from age 5 when my parents got a kitten for me for Christmas. When I went away to college, I wanted to take my cat with me (this would have been another cat) but I left her at home. Then I got a cat in grad school, etc. I now have 2 cats and 3 dogs. 😊

All people are just different, and sometimes that means that they don't like cats. Some people find Snakes cute, while other people don't, its the same with any animal including cats. But some people think cats are scary just by that persons nature or because they had some sort of childhood trauma with cats. And Others just don't like cats cause their allergic, sometimes extremely allergic and it just irratates them to be around cats because everytime they are, they're having allergic reactions 24/7. Its sad or/and disappointing, but its just the way it is. its just the way Humanity is. We're individuals with our own likes and dislikes. simple as that.

But I don't make a big deal going around running away from them or telling everybody that I don't like this, that, or the other thing. Did you forget in your comment that I am also human, with likes and dislikes. I'm not from another planet. What I was really getting at is the way people often go out of their way to let you know they don't like cats. People don't do this concerning dogs or most other animals. One day at my former job, a cat advertisement came on the TV in the break room. One of my former co-workers blurted out, "The only good cat is a dead cat !!!" That is what I am getting at. I'm 60 years old. I've been around a lot of people, including family members with various likes and dislikes, etc. My mom wasn't a fan of dogs because she had been bitten once but she hardly ever mentioned it and never seemed unhappy around dogs. We just never had one as a pet. So I really don't need the lesson on why human are the way they are. I was merely indicating that there seems to be a more pronounced hatred of cats than another other creature except maybe for rats and roaches. Every chance they get, people who dislike cats make it known. In my opinion, there isn't a need for that kind of overreaction. Once when I was visiting my former boyfriend's brother and his wife, there was a kitten there that my boyfriend's brother had found and brought home. His wife "hated" cats. While I was watch TV in their living room with my boyfriend, she wanted to come into that room but the kitten was there with me. The woman picked up the kitten and threw it against the wall, and the kitten ran away. About a month later, I learned that she had thrown the kitten outside into the middle of their busy street and her husband watched as it got run over by a car right in front of him as he tried to save it. This is what I am talking about. People who don't like cats seem to have a kind of hatred and mean-spiritedness in them that is unexplainable. PS I make no reference to people who have allergies to cats. I have a slight allergy myself.

Your right, there are people who do go out of their way to hate cats, I had no idea how old you were or what your experiances in life are; nor was I trying to educate you on human nature. this was just the best way I could explain why I believe people hate cats. I had no idea that you were stating why people go out of there way to hate cats, for that I do not know. I'm so sorry. and as for that woman who through a living creature against the wall and tossed it outside to be killed, I hope she goes to hell or at least gets the karma that she freaking deserve for doing that! I don't care how much somebody hates a thing, the cat is a living breathing being just like us with a heart beat and a soul that deserves our love and respect and hurting them like that is NOT ok.
