@@salmark9080 The devs mentioned there are currently four Sephiroths in this game; The one in Cloud’s head, The one at the Northern Crater, and the ones that can manifest from Jenova/Black Robes. The fourth they have mentioned as unknown, and I’m pretty sure that is Sephiroth from Advent Children/OG FF7. His inability to return to the life stream probably gave him some agency over it and figured out how to time travel. Once Destiny was destroyed he got pretty OP. Not as OP as Aerith though, she’s on a whole nother’ level

There are tons of hints that choices matter. Zack, loveless, Cait Sith's readings (LIKE COME ON), Queen's blood (actually spoils what will happen), the rainbow motif... Cloud is taken to a different universe. Brings back a white materia that should not exist in his world anymore. He's the only one that goes through the wall of fate. The rest of the party only move after the fate breaking decision by Cloud happens. Before they go through it Cloud is inside a rainbow motif circle holding aerith. This means he's inside a world changing event. After the wall of fate disappears, so does the rainbow circle. In remake, going through the wall of fate changed Zack's fate. In rebirth it changed Aerith's. In the next game it'll change Cloud's. Loveless is a story about events that parallel the ones of FF7 story. One hero dies before the start of journey (zack). Another during it (aerith). The other becomes a prisoner (cloud). Cloud is a prisoner of his guilt and lack of self confidence. The only way to change cloud's fate is to prevent what causes him to become a prisoner to his mind. To change the events of Nibelheim. Doing this also defeats Sephiroth as the only way he can manifest is through Cloud's memories of him which are related to his negative feelings. My take is that the hollow materia cloud has at the end of rebirth will contain his memories and experience and find it's way to Cloud before Nibelheim, preventing it's events and saving Sephiroth (forgiveness is a theme in rebirth). Also queen's blood teases what will happen in the next game. Regina is Cloud, Lidehl is Sephiroth, The witch is Aerith and the Queen is Jenova. Jenova will betray Sephiroth

Because there gurantee any of this happens at all, and esp square explaining any of this. Everything seems to be from books or outside of the game sources. Which to me is kinder just the writer adding and adding and adding details that he forgot to explain in the actual game. I know you say its connects to crisis core but which bits in this video do that? and what way do you mean it connects to loveless. You mean it parallels and echos ideas that can be used for many meanings and then square decides which meaning is right. Since everything is cryptic and vague. Symbolic. Like no promises at journey end ? Could relate to many things. It relate to loveless with genesis it could relate to the promise made by red 13 and the gi. The promise of jenova or something or someone coming back etc from the original trailer.

In one of his videos he says that the remake trillogy is a culmination of ideas that were only touched upon in the original. In short when you break it down all the complexity of the game that everyone is freaking out on just boils it down to a few simple concepts: Life, death, rebirth and what it means to be human.

I feel like these new timelines are implied to be fractures of one original timeline, like pieces breaking off of Gaia's crystal, so to speak. This is different from other multiverses in fiction where timelines multiply in contrast. This is important distinction, because it tells us that Gaia timelines are increasingly unstable. Sephiroth has created a "Reunion" that is both dangerous and necessary.

I want to know more about Cetra. How did Aerith mother survived. Why is Aerith the only one to control the lifestream, her being only half Cetra? Why is only Aerith that can call on Holy? Why is she the only one that can help Cloud after her death? You don't see Aerith mother after her death or any Cetra, for that matter. So many question, not enough answers.

This also makes sense when it comes to JRPG's in general. If there is a white there is a black, if there is a gold then there is usually a silver. Dualities in all things typically exist in every JRPG made to some extent.

I still believe that the one we play now is a different timeline than the one in OG game, that's why we see manifestions of Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo but IN THIS TIMELINE, there are branches of realities or you can call them fragments of hope and dreams. In these realities, we can see different versions of Stamp (the Shinra dog mascot) where we see Zack avoided death and created alernate 'worlds' where we see Biggs die and Zack meeting Sephiroth to be flicked out of that world. We also see a world where Aerith dated Cloud and mentioned that it's kind of like her dream. That's how I see it in my persepctive because the world they play in Remake/Rebirth is different from the OG timeline. How they created Remake/Rebirth timeline? That I'm not sure.

It's pretty much Advent Children Sephiroth going back through the life stream and trying to REMAKE the narrative and change it, because he's so salty he was defeated by a nobody (Cloud) and Advent Children Aerith is also going back through the life stream trying to stop him.

Wow, this is very insightful. You packed a lot into 30 minutes! With the reveal that the discs are also on black and white and your talk about the use of the color, I'm assuming each world represents one (and is the Universe of Life/Death mentioned in the Ultimania). I wonder if they go even further though and the Black Materia is the focus of the main party's story while Zack focuses on Holy, since both are kind of under explained in the original. One thing not quite tied to any concept in your video I wanted to throw out from a recent replay of Remake: in the vision Cloud has during the Shinra Ancients propaganda video, Tifa appears to die and then vanishes in a purple light. Barrett appears to die, but does not vanish at all. Sephiroth then teleports away...in the same purple light as Tifa. I think it's worth paying attention to going into Rebirth.

Nice theory but who influences both sets of whispers? We've seen them allow the President of Shinra to die but then save Barret. We've seen them save Zack. My theory is that the real Sephiroth is influencing whispers do things that will ultimately save the planet from Jenova while Jenova wants the world to be a certain way using all that have her cells to achieve that. I believe the hero of the story will be the one winged angel hero 1st class soldier Sephiroth who will atone for everything that was wrong with the world since the time of Jenova corruption amongst the lifestream.

So, she too go back and make her own warrior such as saving bigg and Zack. However as Og Sephiroth gone way stronger at the end of Remake, Og Aerith has to do her plan while hide at other timeline.

you mean in chapter 13 when the switch back and forth between Aerith and Cloud's party?. It's more ties to "Loveless'. The entire play is metaphor on top of metaphor for the story. Alphied and Rosa's story being destined to meet a tragic end from meeting in a chance encounter (ties to Cloud and Aerith). Varvados calling alphried nothing but a puppet (Sephiroth and Cloud). The clock signifying time, life death and rebirth, the balance of fate. It's pretty much signifying fates role in the narrative.

@@GardenArcade (spoiler heavy): Basically, when Cloud deflects Sephiroth's attempt to kill Aerith, the rainbow effect spreads around the whole area of the altar, creating a circle with rainbow colors, indicating (perhaps?) a new timeline having been created. Once the whispers leave and a short lifestream flash happens, we see Sephiroth pull his sword from Aerith's body. Strangely, no matter if we see scenes of a living or a dead Aerith, the rainbow effects around the altar remain, even when we see the classic death scene happening with the white materia rolling away towards the water. I don't know that to make of this because I was assuming that the rainbow effect woud go away once we see Aerith stabbed. No matter which perspective we are seeing, the rainbow effect remains, not only when we see things through Cloud's eyes.
