You have bought the best truck in the world. I have a 2007 Tundra Tundra Crew Max with the 5.7 V8. It’s been the best truck I’ve ever owned. It only has 110,000 miles on it. I bought it new in 2007 and don’t plan on selling it any time soon. You have a great truck, enjoy it. You’ll be glad you bought it. 👍

Dude 110k miles are rookie numbers. I can’t stand when ppl start claiming best truck ever at such low mileage. You just now are breaking it in. Don’t even start talking to me about reliability until 150k-200k miles. I own a 2020 trd pro tundra I bought new in June of 2020 and I’m already at 108k miles. Took my f150 to 326,151k and I’m expecting my tundra to at least go that far with less issues

I bought one several years ago. 2011 black crew max Rock Warrior one owner. 256k miles but runs like a top. The best purchase I ever made and haven't had an issue out of it. Previous owner did some upgrades to it. Full length step bars, bull bar, light bar, hard bed cover, rhino lined bed, Navigation, and etc. Does everything I want and not even thinking about rust.

Such great trucks! My only issue is payload capacity. I wish it could carry a little more weight so I could add a truck camper. With that said,. however, I would not purchase any other truck on the market than a Toyota. Keep rolling!!
@maxagent86 Жыл бұрын
Just so you know, this is not the factory backup camera and not as good as OEM. Fyi, the Rock Warrior comes pre-wired from the factory to receive the OEM backup camera. You just have to replace the rear view mirror and the tailgate latch with the compatible ones for the camera, in addition to buying the OEM camera of course. It is an easy plug and play job. The tailgate latch is where the camera goes and the mirror that accommodates the camera monitor also has a compass and Homelink connectivity for garage remotes. I have done this job on mine (also a 2011 Rock Warrior) and it was well worth it. Good luck with the truck.

Just two cents as an insurance adjuster Good you got those catalytic converter shields but look into dropping comp fed to $0-250 It’s a real cheap coverage and may even be like $6-20 more a year meaning it would take over a decade of 0 comp claims to be not worth it Also I’d say slap in a dashcam Born and raised here also in SoCal lots of people with bad coverages if any at call. 99% of claims are word vs word so a $80-100 dashcam can be a big witness to show us adjusters what actually happened in an accident
@copedesigned856 Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah-- have the dash cam already. As far as my insurance, not sure of my exact coverage but I know it's not a bare bottom policy. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Lovin the Tundra, mine is an '10 currently just north of 150k..no real issues, but be aware, the starter is no driveway or in my case camping trip pulling a 21' camper repair..involves removing some manifold pieces,.. had it towed to dealer for repair..drove back to get my camper then home the next day..

I have the exact same Rock Warrior, bought it in 2014 with 35K miles, picked this model mainly because I like the chrome delete grill, bumpers and the 5.7 L. Tried to haggle with the dealer who insisted it was a special model, I reminded him that I am trading in a Sequoia with leather interior, JBL sound system and climate control, yeah and that had 252K miles on it. I was suprised to hear your gas miles, I have been averaging 14 to 15 MPG , then 10 to 11 when I tow my 23 ft camper. Had one major problem but happy that Toyota stands behind there products: My 4 wheel drive stop working at about 82,000 miles, Toyota paid the local dealership to diagnose the problem, took four days and I only had to pay $425.00 for the repair. They tested the wiring harnesses and found a frayed wire in the alarm curcuit for the front diferential lock sensor.

As you can attest they're great trucks. I think my poor gas mileage is due to city driving. I'm sure it would be better if I did more highway driving with less traffic. Nevertheless, still wouldn't trade it for a more gas friendly car.

I couldn't agree more. I've got a 2012 Crewmax Rockwarrior in the same color. Mine just turned over 86k miles. I expect it will go another 200k easily before I need to really worry about replacing stuff. I went with Bilstein 5100 series adjustable shocks and think they made the ride much better than the stock TRD shocks. I recently switched out my tires to a set of Cooper Discoverer Rugged Treks and, like you mentioned, my mileage dropped about 1.5 mpg. I get a solid 14 mph around town and highway. That is the only detrimental thing about these Tundras; the gas mileage sucks. The 4.30 gearing eats the mpg but makes it a lot of fun to drive.
@copedesigned856 Жыл бұрын
Great observations. Fact of matter is the quality of these trucks, in my opinion, off-sets the poor gas mileage. I also thought I read Tundra's are mostly made in the US-- even more so than Ford, Ram and GM. Like the idea of helping keep Americans employed.
@jdub099 Жыл бұрын
Awesome truck. I have 14 Tundra 4x4 limited. The only gripe of course is fuel economy. Yes, it has a big engine, but it's the 4.3 rear end that just destroys the mileage. Great for towing tho. Happy trucking!

Look in to re-gearing the rear end for better gas mileage.

@copedesigned8568 ай бұрын
The Rock Warrior is a pretty neat model. While I don't think there's much to it performance wise, the graphics and the wheels are cool. You can always just add the wheels if you can find a set. I know some older Landcruiser owners have done so.
@HeathenEmpire66698 ай бұрын
@@copedesigned856 eventually I'd like to get a cleaner lower mileage truck, it's not a bad start though. 210k miles and pretty well taken care of, eventually I'd like to dedicate this one to carrying a truck top camper and I'd like to have a 2nd one to drive in general, assuming I don't end up doing some sort of 90s JDM early mid life crisis car instead 😂🤣
@HeathenEmpire66698 ай бұрын
@@copedesigned856 in all honesty, my truck is pretty damn clean but I won't touch a 14+ double cab as the bed supports are weak and tend to fold with a truck top camper mounted to it. 07-13 is the best double cab tundra you can get, especially with the 5.7 and rock warrior is basically the king of em all IMO. One of the only stock truck that surpasses my standards off the showroom floor, my limited is nice but from what I've seen the rock warrior has better suspension and wheels from the factory and is what I actually wanted when I got my truck. I'm on a limited budget so I grabbed the best available truck at the moment within my budget, but it's gonna get sandblasted being parked on the beach all the time. Eventually I want a double cab rock warrior or a 14+ crew max TRD pro but tbh I like the older body style a little more. If I find a deal on a lower mileage rock warrior like yours I might jump on it

I would have jumped on that Tundra one owner is good news. I have a 09 2.7 Taco with 215k trouble free miles I bought new same color as yours. I want to move up to a crew cab V8 Tundra being my job is 12 miles from home & I live in Texas, were at +/- 2.70$ a gallon reg atm so i can live with 14mpg* despite the resale on a fair cond Tacoma is totaly extreme@@! I paid 21k$ in 2009 - for a Base 5lug Acces cab 2.7 auto 4speed 3:58 lsd rear end 6ftbed 2wd never towed anything cold a/c avg of 19.4mpg 25hwy. Its in exellent shape mechanicaly. Despite the milelage these are easily getting 6-8k at resale because theres a big demand with small business owners needing a reliable truck vs buying a new 28-30k new same truck depending on options. Thats a crazy 25+% return on my investment. Ive got a year and a half paying my wifes 20 XLE Camry and Ill be looking to sell mine and get a 100 to 150k mile V8 Tundra for sure.

Great video and choice, I was looking to buy a Ram 1500. I love the way they look and drive and had specials with low payment but my concern was reliability so I ended on buying a 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in Lunar rock color, was the last year of the V8 too. It was ridiculous expensive cause of the mark up from the dealership but I just went for it, came out to 78k after financing and taxes. So far it has 37k miles and it’s awesome, haven’t done any upgrades at all cause I don’t really have the money for it but when I do, the first thing will be the sound system and the tires. It comes with the JBL sound system but it’s horrible, don’t get why Toyota will put a sound system that bad in a 78k truck……

The leveling kit was less than $1200. It's on the lower end of leveling kits with Fox, King and others on the more expensive end. I don't do a ton of off-roading so I didn't want to make the investment those other companies require. Very satisfied with Eibach.
