Excellent presentation and example of what NOT to do and why not to do it.

Nice video. Thanks for doing this. Refreshing to see on-the-ground observations instead of just ideological or theoretical arguments. Any reaction from NJDEP?

Let's be real. Were these sections logged primarily for the economic "value" of the lumber. I.e., was this a greenwashed logging operation? Where did the lumber go?

The primary goal was to promote golden winged warbler habitat, that is an endangered species. Their decline was due to habitat loss, preferring early successional forests. There was a tour with an ornithologist, that claimed different than the video and probably due to not being president in peak times like the video stated. 😊

Is it true that at one time much of Sussex County forest was leveled due to mining interests going back to the 1700's?

Reintroduce deer predators. And that includes marketing to out-of-state deer hunters. Out of state deer tags in New Jersey are $100. Make them free. I love Bambi as much as the next child brought up with Disney movies in the 60s and 70s... but com'on.
