I think that Canada can make it to the QF of the 2026 World Cup. Most probably is the R16 and falling a little short would be the R32. Not getting out of the group stage would be a big disappointment. This is provided that their core players remain healthy and that they do continue to improve over the next 18 months. At next year's NL and Gold Cup, I predict the sum of their two finishes will be no higher than 4 - ie 1st and 3rd, 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 2nd etc.

Definitely agree. We’re getting a top draw and it’s the top 2 of each group + the best 8 3rd place that advance to the round of 32. Major disappointment if we fail to advance to the knockouts. The foundation has been set now to hopefully and finally get a trophy. With the US’s loss last night to Mexico, I don’t think they’ll pass us in the concacaf rankings, meaning we’ll play Suriname in November. We’ve got the coach, the team cohesion (with some nice European transfers) and the momentum, let’s hope in March we’ll have the silverware!

@@Sides99 CONCACAF rankings are already out, you are correct that Canada is ahead of USA, so we get to play Suriname. USA plays Jamaica. I would love it if USA loses to Jamaica and misses out on the Nations League finals that they always get to host.

But I guess that makes sense since teams already need to know their opponents, set days and times + sell tickets 🤓 After the nightmare QF last year against Jamaica, I'll never underestimate them (or any opponent for that matter) again...and having them eliminate the US would be the icing on the cake for the last intl window of the year :D US are crap in away games (the 1 time per year they actually play them) and once again the finals are in the US. Unbelievable.
