Bruh, I lost my mom 2 years ago next month, she was only in her early 60's, no warning, she just went to bed one night and didn't wake up. It doesn't get any easier. You said rather suddenly, I just hope you at least had time to say goodbye. My last conversation with my mum was 3 days prior and I got snappy with her because she wanted tech support for a mundane PC issue that could have waited until my next visit 😞

Man, i miss this game so much. I know "live service" is a dirty word these days, but i think Outriders wouldve been a fantastic live service were it structured a bit different. I honestly dont think a looter has ever done buildcraft better.

The failure of Outriders is one of the biggest disappointments I have ever experienced in gaming, right next to Paragon (FU Epic) and Anthem (FU EA) The power fantasy was SO satisfying, like literally no other looter ever. And the plot was genuinely intriguing after the expansion. But it's all dead now. SQEX had publicly stated they wanted to make it a franchise but seeing as it failed to make a profit... That's not happening.

Hey. I've never really got into Outriders because I don't think i understood it properly. Well, after how well you explained it I now understand it. Got into it big time this weekend. Now that i understand it it's so fun. It's really my type of game. I don't know if this is a good description but to me its like a space diablo but 3rd person shooter. Playing this game solo just now (Remnant 2 isn’t loading on console)i have game pass so nothing to lose, I’ve always ignore it because of so many bad reviews and although it took me around 10 minutes to get the controller aim sens just right after that it became really fun, the loot system, the combat, art style is all very very good, I can’t understand all the negative reviews

I'm a square enix expert. I've played all their games including FF14 where my characters jobs are all lvl 100 including my crafters that said Outriders takes way too long to level at end game. it will put you to sleep trying to grind out apocalypse tear levels along with Ascension levels. If they would've corrected this then the game would have a shot but they never addressed this serious flaw. I don't mind a grind at all but this is just ridiculous.

Just downloaded it a couple nights ago, spent all of yesterday on it. Leveled Trickster, Technomancer, and Pyromancer all to about 11-15 to see which class I was vibing with the most. Admittedly, Trick and Tech were very fun while I feel like Pyromancer still has a bit to grow before it becomes fun. But the game gripped me tight and I wish I'd gotten into the game a lot sooner. It's been a joyride to play and I'm looking forward to putting more hours into it tonight.

I have no problem with that but have them random so we have to change builds up instead of the typical looter shooter meta builds. Keep us on our toes. There was so much that could have been explored with this idea but well Square makes enough money to not care

Thanks for making this Buzz and I'm sorry to hear your father passed. I've been following you since the first division and have enjoyed your Outriders content. I haven't played the game in at least 8 months. I bet if I actually check, it's probably been a year 😂 I just got frustrated in getting the same gear over and over so it was extremely hard to upgrade my Pyro build. I never got it to a point where I could solo expeditions at the highest level. I started a Techno build but quickly lost interest in that grind.

First off Im sorry about your Dad, loss is always hard. Thanks for all of the builds you gave us, it really made a difference in learning the game. For several months I played the hell out of Outriders when it was released, its a great game. IMHO its a much more complete game than Destiny has ever been and PCF doesn't consistently screw over its player base. There's no Outriders Content Vault, they'll just make the next version like a real AAA Game studio should.

Condolences on your loss, Buzz. Mine isn't in bad shape, per se, but he's had some slight health scares recently which have only reminded me of his mortality. Anyways... I do see a lot of hate for Outriders out there, and while I don't share that same hatred for it...I do have to be honest that it felt so average for a ton of reasons. The story was unimpressive, the narrative beats were all over the place, the "endgame" of Expeditions and then the Trial were paper thin and nowhere near as cool as people hyped them up to be with Expeditions being just "run through and kill everything" and the Tarya Gratar alleged to be rogue-lite but in reality was just a network of about 14 rooms, two or crossroads and 4 bosses that are nearly copy paste...the target farm for gear slots was handy, but way too repetitive. The build crafting was cool, even after the nerfs (as I found the appeal to be the ease of it, rather than just the power fantasy) though the UI and perk libraries really needed some work to be both cumulative/account-wide and more intuitive when changing them at the crafting station. All in all, it just didn't feel like it went far enough to be as awesome as people made it out to be. The genre needs new ideas and outside-the-box thinking, and Outriders did nearly none of that. Hell, it's why Destiny's playerbase is becoming highly fatigued with that game as well. It's doing next to nothing fresh or innovative.

No, I don't play anymore...but it's still loaded on my PS5, whispering to me lol. Do I miss it? Eh, I miss what it COULD have been. Solid after the updates and the xpac, I feel like they had a bonafide "Destiny killer" on their hands, but then just randomly gave up. Imagine this game being an open world action RPG with real exploration of the planet and working vehicles and mounts to move around. That would make it one of the top 5 sci-fi games. But they had to take it down with loading screens and a restricted map. Sorry to hear about your dad. “Just keep swimming” as Dory says. Outriders was fun. But ends up with an unbalanced grind. It also suffers from the same thing as games like Warframe and Overwatch suffer from, nerfs. It’s a PvE game and yet developers hit you with nerf after nerf. Making gameplay more complicated and expecting you to frantically chain skills at an insane speed. All to do the same damage as a few skills would have given you before the nerf. Making you change play styles due to this. I end up leaving games where power is nerfed and gameplay becomes over complicated.

First off, I wanna thank you for getting me into this game. You were the reason I heard about it and wanted to play it. Thank you for the support for this game man. When I first played this game, I logged so many hours on my ps4 and bein a techno main, it was hella fun. I for sure thought this could be the “next” Destiny. While I did find Outriders interesting, I simply didn't gel with the play mechanics. I am a dedicated support player. White Mage in Final Fantasy. Reclaimer medic with Caduceus in Div1. Future Initiative medic with Dr. Home in Div2. Well Warlock with heal-nades and Divinity in Destiny 2. I thrive on being the reason a group can succeed, because contrary to what the movies tell you, logistics and support win wars. Naturally, I veered toward Technomancer since it had the only heal and could put down turrets for support fire. On paper, thats the perfect set up for a support player. In practice, it goes completely against the playstyle the game forces you into. Personality and the way I play my games is simply incompatible with Outriders and its straight into the fire, hard in the paint style. While I enjoyed the story, characters, and world of Outriders, it just wasn't the game for me. Especially endgame when missions were still timed.

I’ll forever miss this game I’m actually redownloading it so I can make a new character, I was a devastator main tanks are my favorite classes in most MMOs I made a build called “Kamui Finale” where you encased them in rock and it inflicted bleed and another debuff resulting in quick dmg over time. Man.. I'd still play the game if it wasn't for two things: 1. The endgame grind (expansion) is far too tedious, especially given that there won't be any more new content where that grinding would pay off. 2. The way the Devs. communicated with the fan-base was atrocious and sometimes even down right degrading. Because of the second part, I won't ever buy a game from People Can Fly again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...

@@LtBuzzLitebeer I was reading about that, I think project red has something to do with People Can Fly and Microsoft entering into an agreement on the development of a new game with a budget of 30-50 million.... A bunch of people are speculating that this could be Outriders 2 because this so called big budget game is supposed to be a sci-phi game.... PCF/Square-Enix are continuing the outriders IP so putting 2 and 2 together all of this happened around a similar time frame meaning it could be very possible we could be seeing Outriders 2 in a few years of course this is all speculation and rumours i was reading online but it all makes sense.

I remember how hyped about this game I was back then, it had all the stuff I really love in general: cool setting, gorgeous armor & outfits, fun gameplay (at least it looked that way) and whatnot. Being a huge Anthem fan (not its gameplay, but its world design, and customization) I felt Outriders would scratch the itch for me in the best way possible. And then I tried the demo. I uninstalled it a few days later. Despite all the pieces almost 100%-ing into a perfect picture, the gameplay felt so off to me, and it was the most important piece of all. Characters felt floaty and unnecessarily weightless, almost to a comical degree. Weapons lacked the impact, and no matter how good they looked visually, they shot like the lamest Nerf pew-pews. The movement, it was just too fast yet still so boring to actually move around... The running animation is the prime example of the impactless nature of this game. Everything here is so unremarkable, empty, and bland... It was heartbraking. I felt like I was re-playing Gears4 yet again, with its increased (compared to the original trilogy) movement speed, lack of weight & non-existent overall 'oomph' to everything: guns, characters, environments. I left Outriders absolutely disliking its movement & shooting, so it felt, again, crushing to see all the beautiful stuff (the world, the outfits, and overall the assets and stuff) getting buried under those two of my gripes which touched the game's core gameplay loop. Mind, this was just my personal opinion, and I'm really happy to see there are so many people actually enjoying the game to this day, I really am. Mad respects to everyone who still supports it.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, I was not into Outriders until a friend talked me into the demo, after the big release debacle I found myself playing the Demo more than the real game over 60 hours because I was one that could not log into the game without getting in the loop. I played the 1st 2 weeks and finished the campaign with he fire build and stepped away for about 6 months and then played with the trickster through the campaign again and I think to challenge 11 on all the extra missions. I have through about running through with it again with a Techno but new games have gotten in the way.

I have all 6 of my Outriders to lvl 65. Every time the game gets repetitive I just switch to a different class. So I do still enjoy playing it. I've pre-ordered Remnant 2, will you be reviewing and making content on this game?

What killed the joy for this game for me was the widespread cheating and modding. I played with guys that were absolutely destroying bosses in seconds with modded guns. There was no enjoyment or feeling of accomplishment. I had 2 max characters wiped by a modder. I un-installed this game immediately after that. Not too mention the lack of balancing for weapons. I didn’t particularly enjoy how you acquired the perks. The endgame was starting to trend in the right direction, but still issues in its implementation. Very sad to see another game with potential fade away because of lack of devs support.

Got back into this game recently. Took a long break when the game was basically unplayable. Really enjoying it now. Bought world slayer since coming back. Only wish I hadn't waited so long

You didn't mentioned the infamous Inventory Wipes that lingered for months and the devs worried more about nerfing . That was my last straw. Nevertheless, the game was fun when it was working
