Happy AGTube Anniversary! This walkthrough your favorite videos was so fun. Like you, I'm partial to dollhouse tours videos. I've watched several of your over and over. I'm also happy to hear you might share our collections again this year. Did you ever post the video of your comments about our dollhouses/rooms? If so, could you point me to where I could find it?
@agtakesoverАй бұрын
Thank you so much! I still have all the dollhouse photos ppl sent but I'll confess it was overwhelming. Doing the "reacting to your collections" was so much more time-intensive than I expected that I had a hard time motivating myself to do the dollhouse one. What I did do is tour a friend's doll space and share the video I made. I have a few other local friends who have said I'm welcome to do the same in their homes, so hopefully I'll be able to do that more in "year three".

Congratulations on starting year 3!! You have easily become my favorite channel. One of the reasons is that you don’t emphasize buying the newest and greatest from AG (I can find that elsewhere and it becomes exhausting). I like your emphasis on using what we have, crafting and creating new things and how to creatively reuse or repurpose clothing by trying new combinations. I also love dollhouse tours and decorating for different season tours. Thank you for being such a leader on AG KZbin and for sharing with us your love of AG and all things crafty. Almost forgot, I wanted to mention how wonderful it is to hear you speak so lovingly of Anika. You saying that she’s one of your favorite people really struck me. At first I thought, well of course, she’s your daughter and you raised her but that isn’t always the case. It’s a testament to both you and Anika how great she turned out and your pride in her is amazing to see. Good work mom!

This comment WINS! (no, there's no contest, but it absolutely made my day!!) I'll make sure Anika sees it, too

I could have sworn some of those videos were just a few weeks ago, but they were actually months ago! I appreciate the variety of videos that you create and how the focus isn't on just buying more stuff (which we all struggle with!). I thought of a random idea for a future video--I'm not sure if you've done this before--how to photograph your dolls. Whether it's individuals or an entire collection (lighting, posing your dolls, backgrounds, etc.). I haven't photographed my whole collection in a long time because it's grown so much, and the last time I tried I almost had a disaster when my old technique of doing tiers of AG boxes failed and the dolls all started falling over! I have bad natural lighting and no access to stairs, so my current apartment is sadly not great for doll photography.
@agtakesoverАй бұрын
what funny timing for your suggestion. It's not exactly what you requested, but I did make and edit a video about doll photography "for the faint of heart". It includes some tips for indoor and outdoor photography and I think you'll get a lot out of it, but I confess it doesn't address large group photos (maybe a sequel video). This is something that personally overwhelms me because I'm not sure it's worth the insane effort it would involve. I think with a collection my size, my preference for a "group shot" is either going to be: use a photo editor and make it look like they were all together even though it's really several rows you photographed individually or (for me who doesn't use Photoshop), to just take headshots and make a collage app on my phone to put them all together in a grid. Anyway, that photography video will be out sometime in the next month and I hope you enjoy it!

Great job for posting for 2 years! You’re always so full of ideas and creativity, my favourite video of yours is probably the pride parade one - I was so impressed with the results and all your hard work really showed. I’m also very partial to the “road trip” videos, I have rewatched/ listened to those several times over. Thank you for being a valued member of the community (and thanks to your wife for introducing you to AG!)
@agtakesoverАй бұрын
Thank you so much!! Knowing you enjoy the road trip playlist is really helpful. I'll have to go back through and make sure I haven't overlooked any videos that *should* be on that list!

Congratulations on the growth of your wonderful channel!! I love your style and content. I love that you have a 'use what you have' approach...its refreshing in this consumerism age. You've started collecting exactly the same time as i have..😅. Isn't it a great hobby! Can I please make a suggestion for a future topic/video? Can you take us along to watch over your shoulder as you do some outdoor photography scene set ups? Maybe talk about posing, lighting, settings to use and how to deal with people watching (for those of us who are shy), selecting accessories, different locations..the whole shabang!! Maybe it could be a series?? When I saw the pride parade photo I just thought..wow..that must have been an epic set up 😅. Congrats Kristie! Thank you for all you share with us. Best of luck for many more years.🥳🥳🥳

Happy Anniversary Tube. I have finally figured out why I don't favor the new Summer doll. I could have liked her better with a different face mold. Even being a rather newby with AG. Your videos inspire me 😊
@agtakesoverАй бұрын
Grace got her and has been dressing her in some different looks and I have to say, more neutral colors really do change her overall look. Not that I'm trying to sell you on her (tbh I wasn't planning on buying her, and ultimately I didn't) but I'll be interested to see what you think of her when I make a video of her and show her in some different looks.

I just wanted to personally thank you for the How To Respond to Critics video. It was early in my decision-making of becoming an adult doll collector. I hardly knew anything about recent AG or AGtube. And that encouragement and reassurance has brought me so much joy (and confidence) since diving back in and even starting a doll channel. I love my dolls, and I love the community that AG brings. Thanks! ❤

Oh, my goodness. Thank you for taking the time to share that. It means so much because that's exactly what I want to accomplish with this channel - I want to empower ppl to unapologetically enjoy these dolls in healthy and creative ways and I'm so thrilled that video helped you. Also, I just subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to watching some videos :)

@agtakesover You are definitely doing just that. Your videos are so inspirational to me. Helped me be more confident and bold. Also, you taught me early on to budget at the start of this journey, thank goodness. 😊 You're the first AGtuber I stumbled upon. I'll put your playlists on my TV and just love to watch as I do chores (and re-watch in case I miss things). I totally missed the hair style tutorial, I need to check that one out. Congrats on 2 years and love all the creativity in your videos. Cheers! 🎉

Well, this is crazy...you're celebrating 2 years on the day I'm working on setting up a 2nd channel...(I got locked out of my AmericanBoyCollectsAmericanGirl channel when I had to do a factory reset almost 2 months ago, and apparently I never finished setting up the Gmail account with recovery options, back the end of November, so I have yet to figure out if there's a way to get back into it or not...nothings worked thus far.)...but congrats to you!! 😊 2 years already!! I remember you being one of the 1st channels I found on here when I got back into collecting in early 2023. This wasn't a thing when Mom and I collected back in the late 90s and early 2000s. So cool!! Hope to be back on KZbin again by, if not before the 1st of October ...I have my longest video already recorded...unboxing Marisol's (almost) complete collection. 😮

Wishing you a big Congrats on 2 years! Yay! I loved your Styling Melody’s hair video. That’s when I had recently sold my Melody and was regretting it. I did get another one though and she has the longer flipped hair that is even more fun. 😄 I loved the love shack fancy dress video too. Valentines hair styles. Loved that one! Good idea for a video. I always wonder how often people go back and watch our old videos. 😊

YES! Feel free to steal the idea for your own "channelversary". Crazy, right?
