Awesome, thank you! We'll be returning to the normal format for the next few vids, but any tutorial content will be shot like this going forward. We feel it makes more sense to present the information in a way that's easily digestible rather than in the normal format which isn't slowed down or providing any in-depth info while flying.

@@TwoBrosRC No doubt its very time consuming.. I make little 3-5min videos and it requires some effort.. Your videos with all the footage, audio overlay and such are a significant effort. If you goal is to help others learn to PUSH the limits.? You are achieving that goal in spades... BTW, I just pancaked my Ultimate doing some Harrier drills.. I let it get too flat while in the middle of a rudder turn, SMACK!. Just flattened the landing gear.. Its a tough plane..... Thanks again, Will

I like this format with explaining the maneuvers. It's windy, 10+ mph, almost every day around the CA /NV /AZ intersection. Either fly in the wind or not at all. It definitely adds to the fun. Although most of the damage to my planes is from getting blown over after landing.
@TwoBrosRC
@TwoBrosRC 2 жыл бұрын
Now that we're using a camera capable of shooting at 120 FPS, we can slow footage to half the frame rate and still have it look smooth. This really aids with tutorial content so you can see what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. It also helps slow down my hand movements so you can see what I'm doing instead of relying on YT's slowdown feature, which isn't as good. Something I've found that helps with wind on the ground is to enable full spoilerons while taxiing in wind to force the plane to stay planted on the ground. That should help prevent blowing over to some extent.

7:20 On my timber x 1.2, I noticed there's a couple ways to initiate it. But successfully pulling it off depends on when I initiate the aileron and throttle input at a certain angle after it begins to fall. If I don't catch it at that split second it just turns into a flat spin 🤷‍♀️
@TwoBrosRC
@TwoBrosRC 2 жыл бұрын
That's pretty normal - a botched KE spin turns into a flat spin no matter what you do. I've never successfully KE spun a Timber X. I can do it with the Turbo Timber on-demand but the Timber X simply won't do it for me, no matter what commands I give it.

Nice video! Someone else talked about not having more than 45 degrees of aileron as more than that disrupts air over the tail. I’d noticed max aileron seemed to loose control authority, and that explanation made sense.

I have a few of the EPP profile 3D planes that fly on 3s 450 packs. I picked them up second hand fairly cheap ($50 each with gear), and they are just about my favorite planes to fly. They are lightweight and strong, so even a fairly hard hit doesn't do much damage. Plus I don't have much cash in them, so I have very low nerves practicing 3D maneuvers near the ground! Can't wait to practice some of the techniques in this video. Everything was well-explained!

It replaced my beloved C2A greyhound that I worked on as a mechanic in the navy. Anything in the sky by means of flight has far more range of motion that something on the ground or especially on water. Rc planes = master race. Kinda like pc gaming lol
