There is some truth in there. I get anxiety attacks when my thermal gliders pass 200m. Once when I started my first glider got into rapid descent by a control error and it got too fast and ripped appart. I don't even fly my f5j above 200m. I will now add gyros which can guarantee that I don't get into unstable glide areas, hope that helps

Jon, my Tucano has shipped. Do you have your set up published? Thanks
@TwoBrosRCСағат бұрын
Nope, because it's nothing special that requires creating a custom setup. 150 travel, 50% expo, 1 aileron 1 flap wing type. That's pretty much it. Adjust the flap positions and elevator compensation to your CG/preference!

I was going to order the 5300 HV batteries from FMC but it looks like they discontinued that battery and replaced it with 5900HV . Would that be OK to use that battery or would that be too much?
@TwoBrosRC3 сағат бұрын
5900 would definitely be a solid choice, but for the kind of flying you're seeing here, you might want to consider 4400 HVs instead.

Hi Jon, thanks for your great reviews. I’ve gotten the Maul motor for my RV7, but am noticing that because of the additional length of the Maul motor it pushes the hub and prop out further so it sticks out from the cowling a bit. Is there something I’m missing, or is that’s just how it sits if you opt to do the upgrade?
@TwoBrosRC3 сағат бұрын
That's just how it is when you use a different motor sometimes.

Trying to learn how to do a flat spin can’t seem to get it figured out. Any suggestions you could give me I go up vertically and I cut the power left rudder 6:51 and then down on the elevator and doesn’t seem to do much then bring the throttle up a little as well with the elevator and it kinda wants to do a flat spin but I just need someone to guide me on exactly how to do it with the controls. I’ve been watching videos but still cannot figure it out if somebody would just explain how they do it I would so kindly appreciate it. I do have a simulator. I’ve been trying it on ..and can’t seem to get it. I know Cubs are harder to flat spin.

I think the term "butter" is too rough for these landings. We're going to need some science experiments to come up with a comparable substance to reflect just how nice these are...

Such a sweet classic bird. My biggest fear is the landing with this bird, but it looks like a fantastic flyer. Another question, more of an odd comparison. If you would, how does this F-14 Tomcat 64mm handles in comparison to the Freewing JAS-39 Gripen 80mm?
@TwoBrosRC6 сағат бұрын
This is the 80mm, not the 64. The best place to get answers to questions like that is on Discord via discord.gg/twobrosrc
@davidgerlach11326 сағат бұрын
@@TwoBrosRC Interesting, though I've read a few comments and communications on other social networking (discord) where this F-14 was mentioned that flying is much like an 80mm?

Hard enough from the cockpit, but with an RC thats not setup with FPV, then very hard to get it right. That RC pilot nailed it!

I was surprised to see 2x 60 roll gain. Most of my EDFs are pretty close to stock 1x 40. Good to know, thx.
@TwoBrosRC20 сағат бұрын
It all depends on the wing and how it handles. You could probably back off the gain to 45 or 50, but we preferred how crisp the roll stops became with that setup.

Not a damn thing wrong with this review!! Very comprehensive and thorough with all boxes checked for things people would be interested in knowing!! While I see it absolutely ridiculous to fly this sort of plane in any High Alpha configurations, seeing that it can be done is a nice touch for those that do want to see it! Nice video and hopefully people see that customer service matters instead of them going into instant defense!! I also prefer listening to people who actually purchased the plane instead of the ones bitten by the influencer virus!! 🤣🤣🤣 Objective is always best and this is 100% that...
