I'd consider using these for a change of scenery/"part holiday" (with responsibilities) but it would be more honest if these websites called themselves trustedpetsitters or whatever. Not your fault. Good video, thanks !

I just came across your website, its interesting to see all companies that are doing this. I helped my friend start a lifestyle mgmt company 25 years ago and this was one of the services she offered. Now, i see many offer tier level memberships, having house sitters pay for membership is to me opposite of what i would think. I would think HO would get membership to list housing and search fir housesitters that match their criteria. My reasoning is that you may have to pay for flying there, renting car to etc, So membership to pay to see, and get paid to house sit do not know if it will equal out. I think should be some free options and referrals are a perk to. I do like the ID verification so it says who you are and paying for it is worth it to prove your not a scammer.

Yes, in the end you are paying for the background checks and ability to connect with so many homeowners and house sitters on a secure platform. We have had excellent experiences over the past five years meeting homeowners through Trusted Housesitters. As far as money goes, although it's an exchange and you don't make money as a house sitter, you can save a lot of money not needing to pay for travel accommodation which we definitely appreciate :)

I am US Based and so many of these sites seem like scams. They get your money then no viable leads or fake profiles. Watching a bunch of videos from various content creators. Would like to find something real to offset my nomadic lifestyle living in a van. I also travel all over Asia quite a bit. There I can usually find a pension house cheap or somekind of barter deal.

If you're US based then Trusted Housesitters or House Sitters America are probably your best choices with hundreds or even thousands of house sits available across the US. The most important thing is that you put together a great profile, are discerning about the house sits you accept, and get excellent reviews after each house sit. Building up a profile with great reviews is the most important thing.

Hello guys! Your tips are great. However, whiteout a remote job, it will be impossible to be (as you put it) a digital nomad. This lifestyle appeals to me, but as I mentioned, would be great to get your input on how to earn a livelihood remotely as well Thanks!
@Twocantravel9 ай бұрын
Hey! We're glad the tips are helpful. If you aren't able to travel full-time yet, you can get started with house sitting more locally (if it's available near where you live) to build up your reviews before you go abroad. As for remote work, that's often the biggest challenge for people. There are a lot of different options out there depending on your skills and knowledge. We'll start brainstorming a video about this topic with ideas. Thanks for your comment.

Trusted Housesitters was a nightmare for me. I would end up in dirty homes or with untrained pets, even getting bit once. Luckily the insurance did cover my hotel expenses twice but it wasn't worth the stress.
@Twocantravel5 ай бұрын
We're sorry to hear you had those experiences! One thing we highly recommend is only doing house sits for homeowners who already have positive reviews on their profile. The only negative experience we had was when we didn't do that. We're glad to hear that the insurance included with your membership covered you.

Hello, is the link for the 25% off membership still working? Seems like it can't be opened
@Twocantravel8 ай бұрын
Yes, it should still be working. Here it is again: trustedhousesitters.pxf.io/c/4111245/1639741/18144 If it isn't working, you can try opening it in an incognito window. Hope that helps!

so i have a stupid question. do i get paid to house sit????????? or is the opportunity to travel.... it.
@Twocantravel4 ай бұрын
There's no such thing as a stupid question :) In most cases with these house sitting platforms house sitting is done as an exchange, so no money changes hands between the house sitter and homeowner. There is a website called Rover in United Kingdom, United States, Canada, and Europe where you can get paid to take care of people's animals, but it's not quite the same as house sitting. We haven't used it ourselves but know people who have.
@dianaschmidt601411 ай бұрын
Are there any house sitting that doesn’t involve pet sitting?
@Twocantravel11 ай бұрын
Great question! The answer is yes however, the number of opportunities is a lot less. We've done two house sits without pets where we only needed to take care of the gardens and the home. I just did a quick search on Trusted Housesitters for house sits without pets and only four are currently available compared with 1000s of opportunities with pets, so definitely a lot fewer.

How can we find paid house-sitting jobs in the fastest way possible?
@Twocantravel17 күн бұрын
You can find paid house sitting jobs in your own country through the website Rover. They operate in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands. Note that you can only get paid for house sitting in a country you are legally permitted to work. You might also consider asking friends, family, and neighbors to start with. Here's our friends and family link with Rover if you decide to check them out: www.rover.com/ambas-refer-a-friend/g4ZlWzRA
