The Irish provinces have been playing these interprovincial fixtures around Christmas for many years. The URC can take no credit for this

Leinster’s defence was tighter, they took their chances, Munster didn’t. Plus Leinster still have players to come back which is a scary thought.
@neilmontgomery34706 күн бұрын
Leinster's defence is absolutely awesome at the moment. If they can iron out the penalties conceded they will be very very hard to beat and that includes the French fancies.

@@neilmontgomery3470 I was at Connacht match last week and they made very good inroads into playing wide very quickly and getting past the edge of the Leinster defence . Leinster scrambled very well , but Connacht tactics were much better than clueless Munster last night

Leinster looking solid in defence and the offence is humming nicely. That said, our clash against La Rochelle will tell us more about our status against top French opposition who will be the major stumbling blocks in the European Cup later in 2025.

Was in the terrace for this game. Great atmosphere, felt the score was a bit hard on Munster but that’s Leinster’s efficiency isn’t it? Thought contrast in officiating with the other interpro (Con v Uls) was night and day, Andrew Brace was great there

Watched this in hope but Munster didn't bring enough to unsettle Leinster. Feel that the Munster management knew this was a stretch and the team picked showed more hope than determination, have to pick your battles i suppose. Hopefully Munster finish top half of the table make the playoffs 🤞

That Nienaber defence for leinster was hammering munster, driving them back constantly. Munster werent awful but they were suffocated. Dunno if Leinster will be able to do that to the best teams in europe but it looked impressive. Then Ross Byrne came on and dummied 3/4 times while standing still and then proceeded to get flattened 🤷🏻♂️

As a Leinster fan, I admit that I was a bit worried about this one. Delighted with the bonus point win , but a bit disappointed that it wasn't a more entertaining competition. I thought Munsters' improvement over the past number of games would show. But 11 wins on the trot in URC and European Championship.....I'm happy enough with that.

VDF didn’t score a pick &go, Ryan having been in the ground for about 7 seconds after the ruck had been formed and driven back legally by Munster popped the ball to him. When Beirne pointed this out the ref wouldn’t check it. What an absolute joke of a decision

It happens all the time, you hear “ on field decision is a try, I just want you to check for forward pass/blocking/potential offside…” or whatever else the ref thought seemed to look wired

IRFU messing it up for the 3 other provinces. Now omahony and Murray leaving, Ireland team is just going to be Leinster with a small scattering. People may switch off
@noelpucarua28436 күн бұрын
Why would people switch off? I think it would be interesting if one Irish province beat France and/or England. Or both! Can you imagine one Irish province winning the 6N, or even a Grand Slam!!!
@molloyjh6 күн бұрын
Nothing really to do with the IRFU. Talent development at the other provinces is just not good enough. So few Test level players have come from their Academies in the last decade or more. They’ll never match Leinster for a whole bunch of reasons, but they’re still massively underperforming in that area.

@jbask71246 күн бұрын
Leinster are where they are because their academy produces about 3/4s of the talent in the country, if not more. The other provinces would be in a much worse position if it wasn't for the amount of Leinster academy players in their squad. The other academies need to step up massively
