Thanks for sharing your coming out stories. I started in 1988,and pretty finished by 1998. I was hesitant with my alcoholic father who also was quite prejudice. Then he got sick in 2000 and died. I used to leave 3.5 hrs North of San Francisco. I used to visit 3 or more times a year for a few days or a long weekend. I love it. The arquitecture of the Victorians and Edwardians is wonderful. I also the theater, Ballet, ,music ,movies, museums ,Golden Gate Bridge, Goden Gate Park, ,and The Castro .travelThe only thin a negative is how expensive it but you know that. I see Andy was a Cable car/Bus driver and I'm not sure what you do or did,

Sorry to hear about your dad, but we’re glad you also enjoy SF! But yes, it’s terribly expensive which is why we moved to the Midwest and ultimately Mexico! Stay well, Alex, and thanks for sharing your story with us! 🙏❤️

ADORABLE. I've been checking out your other videos too (loving your channel, lots of great info!), and I suspect we will end up in Mexico one of these days as well. How have you found being gay to affect your experience in Mexico? A pros/cons video would be cool to watch!

Thank you so much!!! We really appreciate it ❤️ We’ve also been pleasantly surprised at just how welcoming and friendly everyone has been in a very catholic country. Even the Orlando Consulate had safe space rainbow stickers at each window when we went for our residency appointment. As we close out our first year in Mexico, we can thankfully report no issues at all from being gay. We have felt very welcome everywhere we have traveled together as a couple :)

Right after I came out I went to the city for the 1st time with a girlfriend. As we drove up Market St. Erasure's Oh Lamour was on, I saw the rainbow flags; it was really magical & I got Oh Lamour tattood. Soon after, we were in a queer college youth group & we went to our 1st parade, in SF & our group actually marched. :)

Didn't realize You (both?) were Flight Attendants. Wow that is really a switch changing from a F/A to driving a Streetcar in SFO. Curious who You both flew for, or is Trae still flying?
@TwoGayExpats2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Andy flew for ten years with United before becoming a bus driver and working up to a historic street car operator. I flew for American Airlines but just for 6-months before we quit our jobs and moved to Chicago to a help family right before COVID hit. Andy may go back to flying but who knows!? For now, we’re enjoying exploring the world together!! ❤️

I came out in SF too. I am an old lady so it was probably before you guys were born.

Love it! SF is for everyone to feel their very best in their own skin!!! What a magical city!! 🙌

You both seem so different but those differences seem to provide balance to your relationship? Are you both originally from Chicago and are you now semi-retired which enables you to travel?
@TwoGayExpats2 жыл бұрын
Yes, opposites attract!? Andy is from Chicago and I’m from Beaufort, SC. We don’t have a label really for our current work status other than not working to enjoy life after two years hunkered down! You have to live in the present! 🙌
