These Packard's are the very definition of Classic. The beautiful symmetry of design is awe inspiring. And, 1934 was kind of Apex for Packard luxury. Had Packard not introduced cheaper models, they certainly would have died during the Depression as others like Pierce Arrow did. Some contend Studebaker killed off it's two luxury partners, Pierce Arrow in the 30's, and Packard in the 50's. However, Mercedes Benz survived their collaboration with Studebaker.

You always hear the expression that. “They didn't look that good when they were new.” something tells me that with Packard that isn't true. That's such a beautiful color compared to the rest in the background. I had a 64 Impala that was as stock as could be. Looking for the original extra trim pieces was always the most fun. Could you tell us what those flower vases would cost to replace?. My wife used to hate when I told people this. But I know that it's true.! “For my next hobby.I’m going to do Cocaine. It's gotta be cheaper.”

It's a real shame that someone who owns a half-million dollar Packard doesn't know about one of the basic design features. The shape of the headlights and parking lights has nothing to do with the V12 engine. Straight eight engined Packard's have the same lights. The lights are shaped that way to emulate the shape of the classic Packard radiator grill. Look at them carefully. BTW, that is a stunning car and one of my favorite Packard's.
