One time when I was playing Town of Salem (it wasn’t coven) I was jailor and I jailed someone that didn’t claim until the last second, literally. So I exed them. And guess what... THEY WERE ACTUALLY TOWN. After I died they hadn’t left so they started telling me that I shouldn’t have exed them. But seriously, any good jailor would exe someone that took forever to claim, right? Plus, that person was already on my list of being susp.

Ashley Robertson if someone doesn't respond in jail, you exe them. If they blame you, they are wrong. Town has to convince the jailor they are town.

I agree fully. I had a game as jailor that went badly because none of my exes were good because the townies were lying to me. Someone would tell me something like sheriff and then I proved they were lying so i exe. Then I have a salty bodyguard screaming at me in the post game that I killed him.

This is the exact reason all death notes should be completely out of the normal for you, the way you speak the words the tone you come across with it should not match you in chat at all. Some people are just stupid and don't realise the connection when they do something in a death note and then do it in chat...

It is either ignorance or idiotic people, can't confirm which but if you want to play a game atleast try to learn the roles and their abilities asap. Some people are that stupid though. Oh well I guess free wins when people are that stupid... then again stupidity is a concept that largely surrounds the players in this game, why I don't play it. Can't handle people being stupid, I remember one of my first games as exe I claimed my target was either GF Medium or Survivor... town instantly hanged him, i then learned the gf comes up as a gf, arso or BG when investigated. Haha, just played a game on ranked practice, was witch, and I found 2 vigilantes, made 1 kill mayor and the other kill revealed mayor, than controlled Arsonist to douse themselves, but they still ignited instead of cleaning themselves. The game was hilarious cause my name was peanut butter, and another person named jelly was BG, and guarded me the whole game, also with a doctor who's name was jam. Feels great how naming yourself peanut butter changes the whole game

Scum reading is easy in a lot of matches. There are 2 basic principles. Night 3 look over the chat of the past several days most town will have said at least 1 thing so try to find some one who hasn't talked by this point and you can scumread them at this point. The other option is night 3 to look over the chat and look for filler posts. Post evils put out there for no real purpose other thing to have their name out there so they don't get scumread for not talking. Look for people who chatted but did not contribute anything or especially if they talk about unrelated stuff to the game as this is an obvious effort to appear casual and not susp but it is an easy way to scumread.

A few things I noticed. D2, the weekend PMed skimm and said "Hi Jailor". When they lynched the "Doctor" some things I think were not said, or said wrong. First, if the person was jailed it does tell the doctor "The target was jailed" so that is a real line, though skimm took it as he healed a jailed person... Secondly everyone knows that guy was jailed because he was executed by the jailor, so this isn't hidden news that "The coven were able to see by text he was jailed". Not trying to be critical, but there are other explanations for things in this game.

Because we had time. There is no reason to be overly aggressive with carry roles. I just put it in my will that they were suspects. The problem with carry roles like Vigi and Jailor is that if you kill a townie you can take a win and make it an easy loss.

I just had the awesomest vet game ever. I killed a mafioso first night then the next night 2 medium died and one was diguiser. That same day the sk died. Then we hung g and maf died. On the day before last it was down to a jester, me the vet, and a mafioso I didn't know was mafioso and we hung the jester. Then that night I had 1 alert left and used it and killed the past maf. Surprisingly jester attacked him too and with only me left alive town won.

what? no, scum reading is doing your best to read between the lines. Its not taking what people say at face value. In this game the Medusa claimed lookout, which shouldn't have tipped him off, but it was how they claimed lookout. They were very slow to claim and very slow to present the will. They pretended that they didn't notice they were jailed until they had to time to quickly think of a lie. All of these are signs of an under-prepared evil role. Nothing in the Medusa's claim could be proved to be a lie, but because of how it was said, it was still obvious as a lie.
