@@chopsticks7623 Well to summarize it: When the guy started with KZbin he was I believe still a professional violinist and he made food videos accompanied by his pet parrot. Back then he ate pretty healthy and he was also vegan. In his videos he seemed nice and genuine. Just look at older videos of him. Then eventually he really started with that Mukbang bullshit, he quit being vegan and started to eat unhealthy amounts of food. People seemed to enjoy that so he did more and more for clout, he started acting childish as well. He is always screaming and making a scene. He also has/had (not sure) a boyfriend who is in a lot of videos and there is always drama. Nick now just becomes fatter and fatter while his health keeps deteriorating until it will eventually kill him. He seems to be somewhat aware of this, yet he also doesn't quit. It is just very sad to see. If you look at older Videos, you almost can't believe it. A guy with quite some talent ending up like this. He is to blame for this but ofc also the audience who actually encourages it and thinks it is somehow funny to see someone slowly kill themselves is partly responsible.

As far as I know he had piano lessons as a kid (about 12 years old) and had an unpleasant experience, but since then he still continued to play piano on his own, and I think he can even play by ear. He's one of the youtubers where I can really see that he enjoys the music and the instrument and that's why he's playing, at least in my opinion. Also love the "show me de bussy" joke, his cursed memelord humour is peak comedy to me. And I love that you guys understood the joke too lmao. Cool video!

Hey! So fun fact about Keith from the Try Guys: He actually plays the french horn and originally was going to uni on a french horn scholarship. He changed his major, though, but in regards to learning the trombone in 30 days, while he has a good base through the french horn, he also understood the importance of not just practicing, but good practice, which I think helped him greatly too. You can see in the video how much he practiced, but also him finding a good teacher to help him on his journey too. And like Two Set said, when it came time for him to perform, his friends also thought he would joke around, but he seriously worked hard to put on a beautiful performance. Anyways! In conclusion, for any musicians or future musicians out there, keep practicing! It's hard work, but know that it's worth it in the end!

@derais_music
@derais_music 2 жыл бұрын
@@elissahunt Tbf, majority of the problems that come from brass instruments is the sound production. If you already know how to make a sound with the french horn, it would be easier to translate to another brass instrument. Rather than comparing TwoSet learning the cello and bass where the technique is different, check how they were almost immediately able to play the viola. After all, bow hold from violin/viola is different from cello and bass.
@elissahunt
@elissahunt 2 жыл бұрын
@@derais_music I agree that some skills do translate, but my point was that it wasn't a "total fraud". Trombone and French Horn are pretty far apart despite them both being brass instruments. Just so you know: There is no real problem with putting a sax under water. It kills your pads and felts and corcs, so you need some not too cheap revision after this, but the Saxophone is fine. Basically the only parts that get damaged are parts that need to be replaced every so many years anyway. So it’s a bit like cutting your bow hairs, just a bit more expensive.

"There is no real problem with putting a sax underwater" Dude a repad for what KSI did probably costs $300-500 😑. Are you a sax player? Because you're talking about the sax like you don't own/play one. The pads ARE the saxophone. Sure they're replaceable but they're almost as important as the body. Saying "the sax is fine only the pads and parts need to be replaced" makes no sense have you ever seen any saxophone ever be made and sold without the pads? Saying the sax is fine because the pads are broken is like saying dropping it on concrete is fine because you can just get the tube reshaped. This probably is an overreaction but it grinds my gears so badly when people try to talk about something they don't know much about like they do and then try to teach that misinformation to others.

And also folk music. My mother was a pretty-much-professional folk violinist who learned how to play the traditional way of not only reading existing notes, but copying the more experienced violinist. She did tours and such, but she was born eith two proggressive illnesses that have made her even more deaf and blind. So she can't hear a violin anymore, but can replicate pretty much anything if you give her a violin.

Oh, wow, you guys reviewed Daniel Howel's playing! It really brings me joy that TwoSetViolin enjoyed his playing; not only cause I am a longtime fan of his, but that Daniel Howel is largely self-taught (or that he plays by ear mostly?) after having a major bad experience with a piano teacher (he has a video about it so check it out). He is not really confident about his abilities, but it seems like he enjoys playing piano regardless (which already impresses me because it just warms my heart to see people enjoying something regardless of talent). So, yeah, good to hear professional musicians encouraging non-professional musicians.
