I was on the fence about watching a 20+ minute blender video, but I am very happy that I did. This is by far one of the best reviews I have seen. The information was presented clearly and professionally; your passion was obvious and most importantly, you knew what you were doing. I currently have a relatively expensive $600 model from another manufacturer and I am very happy with it. With that said, I am not overly excited by the soup that it produces, so I may end up purchasing an Instant Pot blender to use exclusively for that purpose. Thanks for the hard work that you put into producing this amazing video, I look forward to seeing future content!

Great review. A few things we learned, never cook soup from frozen ingredients it will burn, add dairy to soups after it has finished cooking, go easy on the spices as the flavors will intensify during the cooking process. Our favorite is making apple sauce, peel and core 5lbs apples, dump into the blender and grind just a little until the apples turn chunky (don't add liquid), press soup 1 or 2, when done immediately fill hot applesauce into Mason jars and store in pantry - so easy it's almost cheating.
@JimzAuto5 жыл бұрын
John Lankers what about leaving peel on? Would this affect storage or taste?
@1Spunky5 жыл бұрын
So how did you clean the burnt stuff off the bottom?
@katclaus74255 жыл бұрын
@@1Spunky you can easily clean the bottom with a little vinigar and baking soda. Let it bubble then turn soup function on for a few minutes until hot. The stuff on the bottom should come right off with a scrub brush after the container is cool enough to touch. You can use this for the regular instant pot too.

Watching your videos is getting expensive, ha, ha, but I love them! ;) I just bought the Instant Pot Ace PLUS (released late 2109), newer model and just finished my first use minutes ago, tomato soup that came out great; super smooth, tasty and super easy! You also helped me decide on the Gourmia Air Fryer last year, and that has really helped me eat healthier, tastier. I've also had an Instant Pot Cooker for a few years (how I found your channel) and know Instant Pot has excellent design and build quality already. But also, this review and your "blessing" of the Instant Pot Plus Blender even with you having the much much, more expensive Vitamix, I did not need more convincing. I think I would have bought the Ace Plus if they were the same price as a Vitamix. I don't mind the heavier container but I know that could be an issue for some, so it is good you warn of that. I think having the heater in the container gives it a big advantage over the Vitamix models and I saw that indicated in many head-head reviews on YT. Bye the way, on the Plus model, it defaults to Fahrenheit (at least when bought in the USA through Amazon) so that C/F annoyance is gone )) More significant added features in the PLUS model: It has a much more powerful motor: 1300 watts (same as most Vitamix models) and you can adjust the temperature and 10 manual speeds instead of 3. Also, the price for the Ace Plus bounces a lot on Amazon, $149-185 USD in just the last few weeks so a bit of patience can pay off literally)). The newer model has also pushed their 2 more basic models (Nova and Ace) even lower in price making those super great deals not also.
@Twosleevers5 жыл бұрын
Kevin Falxa omg I’m dying to play with the new version. I love that I could set my own temperatures and timings. That was a serious short coming in this model. Gadget buying can definitely get a little expensive but it’s so much less expensive than eating out - that’s my justification anyway! 😛
@kfalxa5 жыл бұрын
@@Twosleevers Yes, of course, I was teasing a bit... )) The health benefits alone are worth it! And as tiny as a change in the temperature starting in F, nice little touch. I just make my first smoothie and also super easy and came out great!

I love Indian cooking & wanted a high-speed blender to grind my own spices for different Masalas. My old blender/food processor doesn't grind whole spices & nuts very well. I'm looking forward to making dosa mixes, idli mixes, & sauces for various Curries! Hubby & I discover Indian food many years ago & we're crazy about all the varieties of dishes available to us! This appliance is going to take our culinary experiences to new heights! Thank you for helping me understand this wonderful new appliance. Instant Pot & Instant Blender are making us so happy for improving our lives! I'm really eager to try making hummus with Channa Dal in the Ace blender! Gotta try using whole chickpeas, too, that I'll cook in the IP pressure cooker! My one & only attempt at hummus many years ago, long before IP's was not good. Very grainey, as I didn't remove the skins after cooking the chickpeas. With the Channa Dal, I'm thinking that it should be very smooth!!!!!

Vitamix is pronounced similarly to the word vitamin, but with an X at the end and not the letter N. The food retains the nutrients/vitamins in them, hence the name Vitamix. We’ve all mispronounced something at some time, not a big deal, but I’d want someone to tell me as long as it was done in a respectful manner. Love the fact the review is very thorough and truthful, much appreciated. I think the next version they release will be much better due to the excellent information provided by truthful reviews such as this one. Thank you.

Great review and you have a nice, pleasant voice. :) You have a new subscriber. It's very disappointing that the temperature can't be adjusted. I think that is a failure on Instant Pot... there is no technical reason why that couldn't add that capability, but I think they did that to sell the Ace Plus Blender, which does allow customized temperatures.

You gave an excellent presentation. Loved your unbiased review but would really like to know about the smoothies. Does it make just as smooth? And the crushed ice. Can we make desserts from it by adding some flavored simple syrup? For the smoothies can we use frozen berries and it would make it silky smooth and not fibrous? What is the total wattage on the motor.? If you could please answer these questions. Would really appreciate. I am in the process of choosing between the Ninja, Nutribullet or this one. Thanks in advance.

I'll finish my comment after I finish your fantastic video but I want to first get this out...you have beautiful hands and fingernails. There, I said it!! Second, I watched another video before yours that compares like 6 different blenders and this was one of them. I'm returning my brand new Nutribullet Combo blender/smoothie maker to Amazon because it takes a good 20 minutes to make a thick smoothie with constant stirring, and instantly bought at Walmart this Instant Pot blender (I love my Instant Pot and use it all the time) for UNDER $50 (on sale right now) with it being delivered to my home free in 2 days. Okay...just finished. I make my soups in my Instant Pot because I make 3-5 days' worth and also put in chicken. I was hoping you'd do a fruit smoothie because that's mostly what I'll be using it for. Very nice presentation. I look forward to seeing what else I can make, like nut butters and such. Thank you!!!

A fantastic blender for the vegan milk production. The remaining pulp, use for thickening soups or dry to use as flour. The almond flour is perfect for cookies. I spread out the pulp and used a convection oven on low, for a short time to speed up the drying time. The almond milk is my favorite so far. Haven't tried cashews; ended up eating them and they were gone before I could milk them. Btw. I haven't soaked or removed the husks from the almonds and the milk tastes delicious. As good or better than any store-bought I've tried. There's nothing bad to say about this blender. Still, I could see how the weight of the jar might present a problem for some. The heavy duty glass construction feels solid and comes with the expected weight. Used one for a while, then bought two more, for gifts.
