It's amazing that a site so close to the road still has that much gold. The previous detectorists probably didn't have Minelabs :)

I love it! If you're feeling teachy I'd love to drive down this summer and spend an afternoon digging! I'm about 5 hours north of you, but I've been watching your channel since I've started a few years ago. I'm on the Smith river and you're only allowed to pan on it, but I've been finding a little more each year :) Going to invest in a detector here in the next month or two, though. Either way, keep 'em coming. You're channel is full of good information!

Ahhhhhhh..... Nuthin' better than the morning coffee, pumpernickel french toast & a new Two Toes gold video. Nice job Gary and thanks for brightening our day. Q. You guys do a lot of boulder scrambling. Do you or Jeff have any specific favourite footwear that's especially non-slip? I've never seen ANYONE mention this but I would think that having the best coefficient of friction would go a long way in keeping the day go well. Thanks for any input. JB
@TwoToes3 жыл бұрын
Funny you should say that, I noticed my boots have been slipping quite a bit lately. I think the problem is the soles are worn smooth and I'm to cheep to by new ones.
@johnbilsky11533 жыл бұрын
@@TwoToes Yikes!!! Speaking from experience, one good slip can ruin your prospecting season. I know you told us that you managed to end up with a chunk of metal in your left arm ..... BUT .....due to a slip on a boulder (wet shoe soles + sand = ball bearings / roller skates) I now also have a chunk of metal in my left arm. Thankfully it was my arm and not a leg. Crawling up a long hill would take more than a few hours and is hell on the jeans.

Prop sells as is so u get close to 24 carat price but most are between 18/22 carats should check out Kelsh’s channels he did all 52 states and gave a break down on purity
@TwoToes3 жыл бұрын
The purity varies quite a bit on different rivers. In my area Butte Creek is about 92% the next river over is the West Branch and it's around 89%. You go north a bit to the Redding Area and it goes down to around 85%.
