Id give alot just to come experience a trip with you and your crew on a decent claim you have up north from me and get to learn from someone like you. My dad always taught me how they dont make men like they used to and that stands true in so many ways that the knowledge you have will never be passed down the same ways as you learned it and understand it. The world gets softer and softer but the old timer pass down not just knowledge but ways of life that is interesting in so many ways. Thanks again for outting so much love and effort into your content. You mustobe making the content or found a way to dig for gold without so much brute effort and still make it so profitable in ways thats dollars dont add up to. If you just dug for gold i bet you would make alot doing so but uou take so much time to film, explain and be so thorough it amazes me. Thank you.

I am going to the Auburn area to pan for gold and was wanting to know if hand shovel and hand 3 pronged rake and 24" pry bar are allowed when panning. I am finding you are only allowed to use pan and your hands, would like to know if you can use these hand tools, thanks great video's.

Hey Gary, what do you carry your lead home in? And how much of the black sand you find do you take home?
@TwoToesКүн бұрын
I have a bottle that I put the lead in. I pan the black sand to where there is a couple of tablespoons left then suck that up and take it home.
@teamlockhartoutdoors2005Күн бұрын
Ok new guy here, might be a dumb question but what do you do with all the lead? If you take the time to save it and weigh it at the end of the year. Is it something you can recycle to get cash or just getting it out of the environment?
@TwoToesКүн бұрын
Two things, get it out of the rivers and I make weight for fishing on the coast.

How do i find out the findings in area ? I found spot with tailings 5 x 2 miles as crow flys & 6 different sections of steel pipe they left behind. Not a whole lot of quartz or river rock though Gary. Ive test panned it a couple hours total ( been real busy ) and nothing as of yet

I wish I had lessons like this when I learned about gold. Excellent video, and really liked the key points you pointed out. Lots to remember when it comes to panning. Heard so many different ways from too many people. You simplified these skills to the basic essentials. Thanks so much for passing down your skills to us new prospectors getting into the hobby of the outdoors 💖😆👊🇺🇸 Thank you for your service Sir, am thankful for your service 🫡🇺🇸

Seems so obvious, but I've never considered looking upstream at the tail of the previous gravel bar to draw a line with the boulders to find the paystreak on the gravel bar I'm working. It's insight like that which proves your expertise! Thank you for your knowledge!

Hello! Really enjoy the videos. My son and I are just getting into prospecting and trying to study what would be good locations for a couple of novices like us. Any help from you or your subscribers on specific parks or good territories out West that are ok with metal detection and digging by hand would be much appreciated! And no I’m not asking for your best kept secret locations. Lol. Just trying to bond with my 14 year old son over a shared passion for prospecting. Thanks!

Do you film the lead and iron targets, but then edit them out, or are you just really lucky?
@TwoToes10 күн бұрын
If I think its iron, most of the time I don't film it. If I film a shot that I think is gold and it turns out to be iron, a lot of the time I will edit it out. If I filmed all the bad targets I would have 2 hours of really boring video. lol
