Can you recharge safely via your tender lead and tender, if the batter got pretty low? (as tender wasnt attached) - Will it or can it cause damage to the bikes electrical components?
@TwoWheelRocco9 ай бұрын
Happy to help. Take a voltmeter and measure the volts, if it's like e 9 or 10 Volts. Yes you could use the tender to bring it back to life. If not, you have to charge it to a regular battery charger. it's will take a couple days with the tender. But yes, you could do it without damage. Thank you for all your support Vinny. Just got my first bike, when removing the positive side he says to be careful not to touch the frame. Does he mean not to connect the positive to the frame via gabbing on to both? Or just to not let the two touch each other? Thanks!
@TwoWheelRocco3 жыл бұрын
Glad to help, what I meant was do not let the tool as you're tightening the positive terminal hit the frame that is grounded. It's good policy to hook up the positive first so you will not have none of those problems, Then your ground cable second if you can. And when removing, Remove the ground cable first then the positive and you will stay out of trouble. Any questions just ask. Thank you for your Sub Jerry. Forty Eight is a great Sportster. It's kind a hard that way just to get to it.. Watch the video and if you like how I did it. Go for it.. Let us know how it works out. I finally got it. Thank you for the extra assistance. My tabs were rivoted to the battery cover and I had to use a screw drive to pop the tabs up, pull the cover outwards. As mine is a 2020 model.
