Having made it to the Great River Road, it was now timeto turn those motorcycles south! Our fears that the GRR would be a bit of a disappointment were entirely unfounded. From rolling farmlands dotted with sprawling farms, to scenic rides that meander alongside the Mississippi River, there’s so much to see and experience - it’s a route that gets you up and at it each and every day.Rich & Chris ❤️❤️

Another good video. Enjoyed learning about the River Road. Chris was talking about her tires wearing fast, but I figured your barge pulling that heavy trailer would wear out tires faster. Beautiful scenery at the camp spot. Also loved the small towns. I love visiting them. As you stated, talking to locals is great. I always learn something about every small town I visit by talking to someone looking at me when I stop.

Hi Chris and Ric very happy to meet you. I am loving your videos and intend on watching all your series. I have just recently bought a classic Harley Davidson 2003 100 year anniversary ultra classic with a screamin eagle stage 4 engine in Texas and had it shipped to my house in Mexico City. I have just finished a complete cosmetic detail and polish, now it looks like it came of the assemble line. My hobby is landscape photography and drone aerial photography. I am learning a lot about traveling from your videos. Thank you for letting me come along for the ride and intend to watch all of them. Happy riding

My best riding buddy lives near Minneapolis and I live in central Illinois. We’re getting a little old for those epic cross country rides so now we like to meet up in that area and spend a few days exploring on day trips.

I have and use the Garmin 595 its designed for motorcycles, you can layer maps for on and off road it comes with a mount for your bike and is quick release. unlike other Garmin`s you don't plug the power in you hard wire it to your bike and it snaps in its cradle. you can set it up to your phone to see if someone text you and dose hands free stuff and its water proof.

So nice to see this video. I spend most of my summer riding around this area of MN as I live just 100 miles away. I hope you enjoyed this what we call "gods country". There are some very interesting side roads along the river road like rustic road #51 where you cross a stream in 5 places. Hwy 16 which goes from Lanesboro to Rushford and Houston is wonderfully scenic.

So glad you got to see both sides of the road in Bluff Country (MN and WI). I've been down 61 in MN and 35 in WI many times and found myself cheering when I saw you cross in Hastings to the WI side. Looks like you missed the National Eagle Center in Wabasha if you like seeing Eagles. That's always a highlight in my travels that direction. Which side of the Mississippi did you find suited your taste of riding style? I'm a Minnesota boy, but find riding south on WI 35 puts my my "insides" at peace almost as well as the 10 mile Wilderness Ride of Itaska, which is where I go to get my life back "on center". Thanks for another wonderful video on roads that I'M familiar with, although you have given me "bucket list" items to see in a couple of years when I retire. Thanks again.....and Shiny Side Up!

An off subject suggestion. Chris likes fruits, but I’ve never seen a pineapple in your menu. When traveling, in my cooler are a bag or two of fresh pineapple, cut into bite sized chunks. JARVIS good eatin! A tasty snack that is good for you! Check the label attached to the pineapple for simple directions about how to dissect it. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

Yes we take pineapples 🍍 in our little caravan, but you are also supposed to eat natural Greek yogurt with your pineapple 🍍 to counteract the acid .

@@xvsupremacy7190 G’day, @xV. The acidity has never even neared what stomach acid already is. Should I then eat pineapple to balance the base of the yogurt? Courtesy of Half Vast Flying

Great idea. Thanks! For some reason we've never even thought about pineapple.

Question for you. I just traded up (???) my 30 year old FXR for an Ultra Limited a few weeks ago. Talking with the dealer about mods I could make without killing the extended warranty, they said almost anything external to the engine was ok, but putting a trailer hitch on was an automatic cancellation of the entire warranty. I remember a comment in your expenses video that Richard has the extended warranty and wondered if you have had any pushback because of the trailer?
@TwoWheelsBigLife
@TwoWheelsBigLife 2 жыл бұрын
The HD extended warranty is not the same as the Factory warranty. I have had 0 issues with the hitch being on my bike. Hope that helps.

Hi Chris and Rich, I met you two in Great Falls this summer at the national rally. Not sure when you'll roll through St Louis but if a stop for the night is in your plans in this part of your trip look me up. We've got some cooler weather coming Wed. and getting a night out of the trailer might be welcome. I sent you a message on FB with my phone number. Safe travels.

Oh sorry - Jeff "Coach" Jones first appeared in our Trouble on the Road video (Thumb nail is And Then This Happened). He owned Open Road Cycle Works in Phoenix, AZ and was a tremendous help to a lot of the full time motorcyclists. From time to time Rich has reached out to him whenever we were having some technical trouble with Rich's Harley and Coach was always there to walk us thru it.

Wisconsin 35 is mandatory riding for those of us who live and lived around eastern MN/western WI. Too bad you guys didn't explore further inland just a wee bit. You'd have discovered what we called the "alphabet roads". They are designated by letters like AA, GG, FF, etc. They twist and wind and are off shoots of the main roads which are labeled with only one letter. The scenery is dotted with the old farmland and homes that were built in the later part of the 1800's and early decades of the 1900's. It is Americana at its best. I almost thought you were gonna stop at the Original Cheese Factory in Nelson WI on your way down the river road. It really is a delight with all the Wisconsin cheeses and an ice cream menu unmatched. Maybe next time.

OH Man - sounds like we missed some great places. We just love all those old farm and homes. Want to just pick one and putt up their driveway to say "Howdy", but so far have restrained ourselves - not sure they'd welcome the intrusion.

I notice that loads of your towns etc are named the same as in the UK. wonder if it's the early settlers who named these places.

Understanding that video influencers, travel loggers say they can get into Trouble for playing background music, how do you go about playing, selecting certain music? Where do you pick from? ANOTHER few Questions, When you leave the trailer behind to venture out to local excursions, Why don't y'all ride 2up? Since you're in that part of the country, how did you miss the Braughtwerst festivals? Thanx, from the Silver Conestoga Wagon driver, Frank... from Massachusetts.
