I did the same in 1997, putting a R.E. 350 Bullet in a train from Delhi to Madras. Without any problem, it worked well for the bike, and travelling in train, even so much time, is a great experience in India. I made that choice, because some Indian people told me that this part wouldn't have been the best to visit. India is so big, i prefered to spend more time in the best areas. They also recommend me (indian people and travelers) to visit both coasts of the south of India, Tamil nadu and Kerala. Travelling on the Est coast from Madras, Pondichéry, to Kânyâkumârî / Cap Comorin (pointe sud), and then west cost till Cochin was a great part of the trip ! It is still till today, one of the best experience i had, I would do it again, but still with a charming Royal Enfield.. Enjoy your trip! 🌞. Greetings from France

@LaviandOllie I see that you have reached Kerala, my home state. Expect the roads here to be a mess at the moment since there is work happening on the highways to widen them. You might encounter a lot of traffic jams, diversions and dust from construction activities. I typically avoid travelling on highways these days and stick to trains for that reason. All good from east Kentucky USA. Interesting ride on train. Bring your own paper. Good to see the world from a total different perspective. Now to the tip and northbound in Marc's tracks from a season ago. Don't worry where chargers are, Gas and Go. Pretty fresh vid. Week and a half. That's great. High summer in the south. Now tigers and elephants and tea.

If you'd gone thorugh all the bogeys / coaches of the train you'd have noticed an entire coach in the middle just for food. This is called a pantry car where all of this food gets made / prepped to go through the entire train.

Dogs and two wheeler: It triggers their natal response to chase pray. Slow down and see if they reduce speed. If they do and still following...STOP. That would shock them. Out running them on a two wheeler is the most dangerous thing to do on Indian by-lanes.

You can put your canoe and fish icebox at flag stops on remote trains in Canada. There is one railway owned by First Nations that will allow a motorcycle to come along, but most people take the long way round. Some people have their bike trucked across the country and then fly'n ride home. Time constraints for vacation.

Love riding by tuctuc and train in india so glad you managed to film it for us to watch. Finding our bed was a mission walking up and down the platform as two trains were joined together at that point. If we had got in the wrong part we could have gone anywhere. Toilet was just a hole to the track below.
