Fantastic guide. Wonderful. I wish all great tricky spots would have such a clear guide. Thanks a million a time.

Your welcome, would be cool to have it on even more spots but for the ones in El Medano we will have you covered.

Thanks for the explanation I had a really hard time getting out and in when I was there. "El muelle" is a very safe and fun place to catch waves too.

Great video. Is it ok to launch from the beach near the hotel end of the bay?

Yes, you can launch from there too. The wind is quite sheltered by the hotel so you might find gusty winds close to the beach but is possible to launch and exit on that beach.

oh, I will never forget the day I crashed just in front of the bunker and ruined my board. Trying to get out of the water barefoot I made contact with some unfriendly „local“ and stepped right into the spine of a sea urchin. 😂

Do most people sail there barefoot?

Yes, still most of people sail barefoot. Few helpful tricks: - While water starting close to the rocks, it's better not to stand on the bottom even if you are able to do so. Try to water start as if you were in deep water, keeping your legs flat and close to the surface. - Try not to end up too close to the rocks, where you would need to stand up once there is not enough water to keep the fins from hitting the rocks. - If you end up close to the rocks, walk slowly to the beach. Use the moments between waves to take another step carefully when you can see more of the bottom and decide on a safe place to step. Try to chose flatter rocks to step on.
